Chapter 18

After they finished eating, Kiefer's phone rang. He excused himself for awhile and went to the living room to answer the call.

"Trinca, napatawag ka."

"Nangangamusta lang."

"Ah."

"Hehe. Gusto mo sabay tayo kumain bukas?"

"Uhm... Pagisipan ko muna."

"Hon! Sino kausap mo?" Aly's voice from afar.

"Trinca, I have to go. We'll talk next time, bye."

"Okay, I'll be expecting you to join me for lunch tomorrow."

"I'll think about it first. Bye for now."

He cut the call and went back to the Dining Area, Aly is looking at him with doubt. "Trinca, nangangamusta." Aly nods her head, "She wants me to join her for lunch tomorrow, ayos lang ba sayo?" He asked and she nods her head again in agreement. "Are you sure?" He asked again and Aly smiled at him.

"Go ahead, I don't see her as a threat." Aly jokingly said. It has been a routine for Kiefer to ask her permission before joining some other women, he dislikes seeing her jealous.

Kiefer was busy talking with the other employees when Trinca tapped his back. He turned around and remembered the lunch she was talking about. "Are you going with me later?" Hoping to get a good answer, she waited for Kiefer to smile and he did. "I'll take that smile as a 'yes'." She grinned then bit her lower lip.

Kiefer sighed and said, "Hindi ako sasali kung pinagbawalan ako ng Asawa ko, loyal guy here." He laughed at Trinca's sudden change of expression, "I am not like the other guys. Yes, I'll join you but only for today." He added and Trinca nods her head.

"Okay Ravena, I'll see you on our lunch break." She said then walks away.

One of the employees followed their gaze on her then turned their sight back to Kiefer and smiled evily, assuming that they knew what Trinca is up to, Kiefer gave them a doubter and asked, "Kanino kayo tumitingin?" One of the employees laughed at his question before speaking.

"Sir, ilang beses na po kayo sinubukang yayain niyan kaso takot sa Asawa mo." He laughingly said, Kiefer turned his back around but Trinca was already gone, he turned himself again and laughed.

"Nakasabay ko na yan pero sinama ko si Von." Kiefer scratched his nose and leaned forward to them before continuing, "Ayoko kasing magkaroon ng intriga tsaka iisipin ng ibang tao na niloloko ko si Alyssa, madaming nakakakilala samin." He said and they all laughed. "Nagpaalam ako kagabi kay Ly, pumayag kaya sasabayan ko siya."

The employees' reaction was like you-need-to-be-careful, "Hanggang batok siguro ngiti ni Trinca, may kras kasi sayo." His friend slapped his arm. "Totoo naman!" He shouted and looks at Kiefer only to see his face filled with shock. "Ay! Sorry, pero totoo yun."

Kiefer then smiles at them, "Normal lang yan."

Trinca saw Kiefer walking out of his office, she waved at him and he smiled at her. This is only a step towards getting attached to Kiefer so she thought things are going smooth but not too much because of Alyssa.

"Let's go?" Kiefer asked.

Trinca nodded and they went outside to eat at Chowking for their lunch. When they finished ordering food, both of them walked towards an open table and sat to start eating. There was silence until Kiefer broke it.
