I felt my eyes slowly open, only to meet darkness. I couldn't move a muscle, not one part of my body. Except for my eyes. I felt like I was floating, floating in a pool of darkness. Nothing to hold onto. Nothing to listen to. Nothing to see. Nothing to feel. Just a black void. What felt like hours were only minutes of silence.

Until I heard an echo.

Someone's voice. They sounded agitated. It was a deep, smooth voice. It sounded familiar but I couldn't comprehend who it was. I felt a warmth on my left hand. I did everything in my power to make it move. I only received a twitch. I was getting tired of the dark. It started to get lonely. The echo of the familiar voice is the only thing that kept me company. I laid there, unmoving. Just staring off into space until a booming voice startled me.

"Why hasn't she woken up yet?"

It was that deep, smooth voice again. He sounded like he was in distress. But one thing stood out to me.

Who's she? Who is he talking about? Who is he talking too?

Another voice appeared, more feminine than the other. A cheerful voice. But it had a hint of sadness in it.

"Let me ask you this. Does she ever sleep at all at night?" She asked.

"...no. Neither of us do. We usually drink tea and have conversations with each other." He answered after a moment of silence.

"That's the reason. Her body is so tired but I'm pretty sure her mind is awake. She may even be able to hear us at the moment."

"So...she's awake?"

"Yes, she is. Her body just needs to rest. Would you like sleeping pills to help with your insomnia?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Alright, I'll leave her in your care. If she wakes up give her fluids and make sure she doesn't get up. Her leg is still bad."

"Yeah, whatever four-eyes. Get out of here now, your voice is giving me a headache. It just might make me fall into a coma." He grumbled. She giggled and then I heard a door close. I wanted to see who this person was. Their name was on the tip of my tongue. I spent minutes racking my brain for a name but nothing came up. I sighed, feeling tired.

'I guess I could close my eyes for a bit...' I thought. With that, I closed my eyes and I felt myself fall deep into a slumber.

...

I woke up once again remembering the name. It was Luke...

No, larry...

No. No...len.

Close, but no...

What was it?

Lex...

Lem...

Les...

Lev-

LEV!

LEVI-

"Levi..." I mumbled as I felt my eyes open slowly. I could feel soft winds pick at my skin. It seemed to be nighttime. I was about to sit up until I felt a weight on my left arm. Something warm kept me from getting up. My eyes adjusted to the darkness and I found a figure sleeping on my arm. My eyes adjusted to the dark and I could see clearly now. A white blanket covered the figure. But I knew that raven, undercut-style hair anywhere.

"Levi..." I whispered. He suddenly jolted awake and sat up. His eyes were wide and his hair slightly messy. I let out a soft laugh at the sight.

It was too cute.
