Minhyun's pov
i felt Jiyeon moving and i saw her open her eyes slowly. "Jiyeon you awake? or do you still want to sleep more?"

she shaked her head and sat up facing her mother , who looked at her confused. "Minhyun sunbae , i-is this your niece?"

"eomma! you're awake!" Jiyeon ran to the side of Jieun's bed and held Jieun's hand. Jieun looked at Jiyeon with a confused look and gently took her hand away from Jiyeon's.

"little girl , i'm not your mom. i'm your uncle's hoobae , Hong Jieun." Jiyeon turned her head and looked at me.

"ani , you are my eomma." Jiyeon once again tried taking Jieun's hand in hers but Jieun didn't let her.

"oppa , can you explain things to her? is she alright in there? why does she keep calling me her mom? i'm only 15 and i don't want to be a teenage mother!"

Joshua bent down and picked Jiyeon in his arms. "Jiyeon-ah , can you stay with Uncle Minhyun for a little while? Uncle will explain to you later okay?"

Jiyeon nodded and Joshua walked to me passing me Jiyeon.

"uncle Minhyun , why doesn't eomma want me anymore?.." i looked down. i held my tears back because i couldn't help Jiyeon.

she is still young but have to go through all of these at her age. i pitied her.

"Jiyeon , is not that your eomma doesn't want you. it's about something else. and it's not her fault."

i heard her sniffing and choking from her crying. just then , the door opened.

Jihoon's pov
i went back inside after calming down myself when i saw Jiyeon crying at the corner in Minhyun's arms.

i ran to Jiyeon and carried her out from Minhyun's arms. "wae geurae Jiyeon? what happened? why are you crying?"

i looked at Minhyun and he sighed. "Jieun." that was all he said and i understood him already.

i brought Jiyeon to a corner of the ward and placed her down. "Jiyeon-ah , appa have something to tell you. so you have to stop crying and listen carefully because appa don't want to repeat myself."

Jiyeon cleared her tears with her own hands and looked at me with her big eyes. "nae appa , i'm listening."

"eomma has lost her memories. she only remembers everything up to the age when she was 15. and that was the timing when she hasn't married appa. not even date."

"so will eomma ever recognise me?" "of course she will. we just have to help her regain her memories and it might help her. so Jiyeon , you have to cooperate with appa , araseo?"
