June 21

Just got back from staying the night at a friend's house; her birthday party was so fun! We had a three-dollar battle with mustaches on and everything. It was brilliant (:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a time when, at noon,
the sprinklers would be tut-tut-tuttering
The air was filled with the humidity of June
and the monarchs were fluttering
Amongst the fields of cheery-green clover,
the sun kissed my cheeks
until the long day was over
and my stubby legs grew weak.
I look back upon those sunny days
wishing that I could still revel in simplicity
That the shining in my eyes wasn't now a glaze
that no longer feasts on felicity.
