Our mission isn't over. We still have to search the whole hideout before we can leave." Kakashi stated.
"I can help, you know. I've been here for as long as I can remember, I know this place like the back of my hand." Esper said, pushing Tenzo.
You all said okay and started searching again.
Lab Rat
Esper took the lead and everybody followed. Traveling down several hallways, occasionally stumbling upon bodies. The place looked as if it was abandoned a long time ago and was similar to what you would see in a horror film. It was pitch black, aside from the faint light coming from the torches, cobwebs throughout the halls, broken glass on the ground from the human size test-tubes in the labs, blood streaks on the floor, and holes in the walls of the cells, appearing as if someone was trying to escape. How did Esper live here for all those years? Soon after studying every lab, jail cell, and battlefield, the search was subsequently over.
"We've examined every room in this place and only found one thing," Tenzo groaned, scratching the back of his neck.
"Excuse me, but I'm not a thing..." Esper shouted, turning to him. "I'M A GIRL!" She then punched Tenzo in the back of the head.
"You shouldn't be hitting Anbu members, you're still considered an enemy," Kakashi said, watching Tenzo rub his head as if he was actually hurt.
"Okay fine, but he deserved it!" Esper responded folding her arms on her chest and turning away like a child.
"Well, I guess this means we will be going back to the 'Hidden Leaf' now," Tenzo announced.
"We are also bringing Esper with us, right?" You asked. This was the first time you actually felt like you were closer to the truth. You would finally begin to understand that dream and Esper was the key to that.
"Yes we are, she has knowledge on Orochimaru that could be useful to the Hokage," Kakashi replied.
"YAY!" Esper jumped in the air. "Finally I can leave this hellhole once and for all!" Esper was smiling with her hopeful eyes.
Kakashi then led the way back to the exit.
Everyone was soon outside of the hideout.
"The air! It's so fresh, I can't remember the last time I was in the real world." Esper exclaimed, smelling the air and smiling while the chilly breeze hit her cheeks.
Everyone then jumped onto a nearby tree.
After leaping from tree to tree for what appeared to be an endless forest, Kakashi had decided that we would all stay in that village again before going back to The Leaf. He said that Esper looked like she just killed someone and we didn't want to look suspicious, in case we ran into an enemy.
Everyone dropped down from the trees and began to walk, Kakashi then stopped and turned to us.
"We're near the village, here Esper put this on." Kakashi threw Esper a white cloak to cover her bloodstained clothes. "(Y/N) will buy you some clothes to wear before we go back," Kakashi said, beginning to walk again.
"WHAT, Why me! I'm freaking broke," you shouted in shock, looking at Kakashi.
"You're a girl plus, I put money in the cloak, so you don't have to pay for it," Kakashi said evidently.
"Fine," you murmured. Perhaps you can ask Esper some questions. After all, you two would be together all night.
