Abandoned Once Again (Chapter 22)

Soon you were standing on your feet, almost on the verge of collapsing. "N-n-now listen here Orochimaru..." Your voice cracked as you spoke, "I'm here to ask you some questions and you will answer them truthfully!" You stuttered still shaking.

"How funny, you think you're the boss here~" He laughed once again, all you could do was stare. "Now stop playing these games and let's go." he grabbed your wrist tightly, beginning to drag you out the room; words couldn't escape your mouth.

~Kakashi's P.O.V~ ( During the events of Chapter 20)

"I'm going ahead Kakashi," A boy with short brunette hair called out. "Okay Tenzo, I'm going to check the western area." The male with white hair now known as Kakashi answered. Both boys went their separate ways.

Kakashi walked down the semi-dark streets of Konoha, checking every nook and cranny. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary, no signs of intruders. He continued doing this for another minute or so before he heard something. Quickly taking out his kunai, he when to the noise that seemed to be coming from an alleyway.

Walking into the alley, everything appeared to become darker than before, apart from the hint of light coming from the entrance and exit of the alleyway. Kakashi cautiously walked deeper into the alley, preparing for any type of attack to come his way. Suddenly a dark figure went past the exit; Kakashi immediately when after it. Exiting the alleyway, the 'enemy' hit a corner as their long red hair trailed behind them. Kakashi turned the corner as well following the redhead.

"Stop," he called out startling the person in front of him. They came to a halt, their back facing Kakashi. "Who are you and why are you out here this late?" He asked walking towards them.

"An evening stroll of course," the person responded in a sing-song voice. "Now what are you doing out here Mr. Hatake?" The voice inquired slowly turning around. A girl with red hair down her back, dark skin with scars all over her, and greenish eyes stared straight at Kakashi:

"Do I know you?" Kakashi asked still holding up his Kunai.

"What! you don't remember me?! I feel hurt Kakashi," The girl pouted putting a hand by her heart pretending to be hurt. "I'm Esper ya know, the girl you saved with (Y/n) and Tenzo." Kakashi stared at her with a blank face, still unsure.

The redhead furled her eyebrows in frustration, "You know what, it doesn't matter anymore." She stated clearly annoyed, "Now can you please let me go? I have things to do," She requested. Kakashi had noticed that the girl's mood had changed from annoyed to concerned. She seemed to be worried about something, but Kakashi couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Once again the redhead had gotten annoyed by Kakashi's silence, "Kakashi can I go, this is really important!? if I don't go now, she might..." She suddenly fell silent herself.

Kakashi had felt even more confused than before; Who was she talking about? Should he be concerned? Kakashi could see that the girl was worried about 'this person' due to her twitching and meddling with her fingers every few seconds. Kakashi wasn't positive if he should ask her what had happened; it wasn't his problem in the first place.

After observing the anxious girl for another moment, he finally answered her, "You can go." Kakashi solely said as he watched the redhead run off towards the gates of Konoha.

"I wonder who she was talking about..."

Kakashi's thoughts were interrupted by a nearby sound of something crashing to the ground. Browsing the area, the noise had seemed to be coming from the alleyway. Kunai still in his hand, Kakashi began to run back to the alleyway. Hitting a corner and back into the alley, he stopped moving.
