Rondeau: Remember Hope
© Olan L. Smith, 2-11-18
Remember hope you lords--you tear
The times we meet and do not care,
But now the aches are hard to know
You gut the darkest sparks of woe
We know our hope is hardened snare
And meant for times like these. Compare
Our notes, and see our hopes' despair,
And you will know eternal flow,
Remember hope.
Our fates entwined, Oh, Lords of Dare,
And Kharon says that life is bare,
The stream will move us all to go
Through blazing fear, and scorching coal
Does wait for all, herein below;
Remember hope.
