Rondeau: A Pardon Comes
2018, Olan L. Smith
A Pardon comes in morning light
You're quite composed my dear delight
In Morning's dawn a gift transposed
Our Annabel quite composed;
We tap your strength for early flight.
Those juxtaposed are doubts contrite
Will wallow; sinners gods must smite,
A life is lost and hope deposed,
A pardon comes.
He rides the waves, on delight
And hears her call in hope and might.
An Oceans roars are predisposed
His mother's cry is finely posed,
Whose Tomb, whose mother weeps for right,
A pardon comes.
