Ah but who can forget our favorite NCIS Director?
Cancer. Who in the world would believe it was cancer? Apparently, everyone. The lie has worked for ten years. Or so the record shows.
He eventually found me after, about one. Of course he did. Leroy Jethro Gibbs always finds things.
"Why'd you leave Jenny?" He asked.
"I didn't want to be in that life forever." I replied. "As director, I had responsibilities. Ones I never thought I'd have."
He understood. Mostly. He thought my mind was messed up, he asked me to come back. I said no. Not surprisingly, he respected that. I've been happily living a new life, as Miss Donna Harbor, a Widow. We still talk sometimes, Gibbs and I, but nothing too serious. We don't get into many details.
I'm happy just the way things are.
