Johns wife knew about the letters as well if you think about it from the musical when Eliza told Alex the letter they recived was from John was because he sent him a letter a week before telling him about making peace and winning and how much he loved him even saying he should come back to NYC to be in government and join him again but Alex's last letter was believed not to reach John before he died sadly
Alexander's grandson called John, Alex, and Lafayette the 3 gay musketeers but all 3 men married and had children Lafayette had 4 but John only had 1
