It's gonna take a lot more than sorry

"Hey, guys!" You'd say in your usual happy mood, but none of them responded, Not even John. "Guys???" You'd say walking more into the tent, but they ignored you. "What'd I do????" You asked, confused as hell.

They still didn't respond. You crawled closer to them, and sat down next to Laurens. "John?" You'd say, looking up at him. He'd just ignore you, looking away. You'd crawl and sit next to Lafayette. "Laf...?" You'd say, sounding concerned and sad. He'd look down at you, but then look away. You could see how hard he was trying to ignore you, so you scooted closer and leaned against him. "What's wrong, what happened? I want to know!" You'd say, starting to get upset. He'd look down at you, then the guys, then you again, then the guys again. They'd all shake their heads no the second time he looked at them. He'd look down at you and put his hand in your hair, messing it up playfully, then he went back to ignoring you. He looked hurt. You'd scoot away from Lafayette, looking sad. You'd crawl over to Alex and sit down next to him. "A-alex...?" You'd whimper out, on the verge of tears. He'd look at you, full of anger and rage. He'd forcefully push you away. Tears would start streaming down your cheek, so you stood up, and ran out of the tent crying. Lafayette was about to get up and start chasing you, but Herc grabbed his arm, keeping him from running.
"Herc, let go!" Laf would yell, trying to pull him arm away. Herc would sigh and pull him back down.
"Just give up, Laf." He'd say sadly.
"I do not like to see her sad. She'd already been through enough of the sadness." He'd say, sitting back down.

A few hours later

Washington had everyone in the camp gather up for a meeting. You would've stood next to the guys, but they were upset with you, so as messenger, he allowed you to stand near him. Washington, Lee, and Lafayette, along with a few other generals were explaining how we'd have our first battle, and the rules since this was only a reenactment and not a real blood war. After he explained, everyone had an hour to finish their jobs before they had to prepare for the battle. You'd walk back to the tent, and see John and Lafayette talking, most likely about battle plans. They didn't notice you come in, so you quietly snuck over to them and sat next to John. You listened to their conversation. The battle plan was not very good in your opinion. You spoke up catching their attention. "It'd be better if we attacked from different angles, Tha way, it'd confuse them, and we'd have a better advantage point." They jumped as soon as they heard you and looked at you.
"EVER HEAR OF KNOCKING, Y/N?" John would yell.
"Why do I need to to knock to go into my room?" You'd remark. John was about to fight back, when Lafayette said
"She's actually got a pretty good idea, thanks Y/N." He'd say, leaving the tent to go to Washington's. John would push you away from him. You had enough. "WHY IS EVERYONE UPSET WITH ME?" You'd yell out and John would scoff and roll his eyes. "Wow, you don't even remember kissing him?" He'd say, disgusted. "WHO?" You'd yell out. "GEORGE!" he'd yell back at you. You started tearing up. "You think I like him that way? You think I even asked for that?!" You'd say, standing up and staring down at John. He stayed quiet and didn't say anything. You just walked away and curled up in your makeshift bed, and silently cried. You knew he was watching you, but you couldn't help it. You heard some shuffling, and when all of the shuffling stopped, he was right next to you, laying down, hugging you and petting your hair.
"I'm sorry." He'd whisper
"It's gonna take a lot more than sorry." You'd say while he pulled you closer.

Thanks for the idea!
