Prologue

A/N:

P' - It is added as a prefix to a name when someone is addressing a person who is elder than them. It is commonly referred to as someone you consider your elder sibling. But it can also be used to address a person who is the age of your elder sibling but you are close with.

N'  or Nong- It is added as a prefix to a name when someone is addressing a person who is younger than them. It is commonly referred to as someone you consider your younger sibling. But it can also be used to address a person who is the age of your younger sibling but you are close with.

Wai - A Thai greeting wherein the palms are brought together in front of the face or chest, sometimes accompanied by a bow.

"To be honest I don't know what will happen to us in the future. But I want you to know that at this moment, at this minute, you are the person I feel special with the most. And you are the only person that I love" - Arthit

"I know. And I too want you to know that at this moment you are the only person I love" - Kongpob

Arthit could never forget that day. It was one of his most memorable and precious days so far. He had bared his soul to the love of his life and he had gotten the exact words that he wanted to hear, as a reply from Kongpob. Even though Kongpob had been the one who was following Arthit right from the start, Arthit had never failed to notice the efforts the freshman had been putting into chasing him.

What had started as a pride war between a senior and junior had quickly turned into something more meaningful for both of them. Though Arthit tried to push away the junior's comments as mindless teasing, he had never been able to push away the feelings that the junior stirred with his sweet words. And before he knew it, he was starting to fall for Kongpob. Even though it took him a long time to admit it to himself and the guy he fell in love with.

But when he did admit it, it was one hell of a confession. It had left even the cheesy and witty freshman a smiling surprised mess. Kongpob was on the verge of depression roaming the auditorium halls with a sad face and a broken heart when Arthit had started avoiding him after his teary almost-confession over the phone. It was hard to pursue someone for their love when you have no idea how they felt about you; even harder when the person starts avoiding you completely. How could you go after someone if you couldn't even spot the person who you are going after?

But Arthit hadn't taken much longer to succumb to his true inner feelings. After a heart-to-heart with his senior P'Tum on his wedding day, Arthit decided to live in the moment by following his heart. He is not going to miss the present by thinking about a future he had no idea about. After all, as a wise man once said, sometimes it is better to take chances than to live an entire life analyzing the what if's.

So Arthit took a chance. He certainly had his doubts when he asked Kongpob if he would still want to walk behind him even after knowing all his flaws. He had asked that out loud without a stutter in his voice, but in reality, his heart was thudding against his chest fearing Kongpob's reply. His worries were wiped away in a moment when Kongpob replied, without missing a beat, that he would be happy to follow Arthit for the rest of his life. The relief and happiness Arthit had felt on that day were indescribable. He could never put those feelings into words though.

Arthit was ecstatic that he had pulled Kongpob to him to place a soul-searing kiss on the junior's lips. It had left both of them with pleasant butterflies fluttering in their stomach. From that moment on they started walking together through the journey of their life.

Life was good thereafter for the next two years.

Though they had some ups and downs along the way, they had always made out of it with their love intact.
