Personality>> Neva likes to live mostly in her thoughts. A natural extrovert but given little opportunities to interact with people, she prefers to avoid conversations with them. She learned the value of observing people, over the years, and often has scarily accurate insights. She's very witty, and has a thing for animals over people. A person of few words, Neva only speaks when it is needed. When she opens her mouth, it is always well thought- out.
As many people have learned, attempting to force interaction with her will only make her more closed off. Neva has a great sense of humor, and commonly cracks herself up, and commonly about the people around her. She values loyalty above everything else, and is known to be so herself- even if she never speaks a word about it.

Family>> Nora is an only child, contributing to her loneliness growing up. Her father's name was Samuel Charles Brooks and her mother's name is Isabella Marie Jennings. Her family comes from a long line of Hispanic heritage, on her father's side, and a long line of Russian heritage on her mother's. Both families immigrated here a generation ago, with Neva's grandparents. Her mother named Neva after the river nearby that her own parents would always tell her about, the Neva River, by St. Petersburg.

Backstory>> Neva grew up decently well, in a middle class family. There was not much she could ask for; she had a roof over her head, food three times a day, and good educational opportunities. However, there was one thing she never had- a real friend. Her father disappeared when she was younger (6 years old) and was presumed dead. (He was actually caught for having magical powers and killed, but her mother didn't have the heart nor courage to tell her this). From that point onwards, her mother worked double shifts just to support Neva, and as a result Neva was well cared for. But she was also left alone, most of the time, and grew to be independent and to herself.

Abilities>> Neva can:

Strengths>> Neva is very good at reading both people and books. She is decently physically fit, very fast, and very independent. She can commonly tell when a person is lying and has a strange way with animals, particularly dogs.

Weaknesses>> However fast Neva is, she isn't very strong, nor good in hand to hand combat. She does not work well in groups and resents being dragged down by one. She is not very sympathetic, and doesn't try to be. She would definitely not be the first one to go to for help on anything- she believes everyone should take care of themselves. Neva can be somewhat selfish at times, and has a bit of temper. Any talk of her father is an open wound for her- she hopes he'll come back one day, and refuses to believe he's dead. Her hope is a huge weakness for her, even if she can't see it yet.

Fears>> Neva fears being bogged down by others, being limited, her father never coming back, Magic (which may cause complications when she realizes she has it), being abandoned or alone, spiders, guns, and has claustrophobia.
