Chapter Three: Channel DDD

(The video is just comedy, it doesn't have much to do with this chapter)

As a little punishment for seeing Meta Knight sleeping he ordered you to come with him on his duties the whole next day.
So earlier than when Tiff comes to wake you up, instead you got Blade knocking at your door saying something you can't understand (does anyone understand him though???). So you dressed and followed Blade back to their room.
On the table was breakfast, cooked by Meta Knight.

Not looking up so you can't see Sword and Blade with their masks off, you start eating.
The thing is it tastes horrible. So horrible it's funny. You can hear Sword and Blade gagging as well.
"So, how is it?" Meta Knight asks.
"It's good, sir!" You blurt.
You can feel Sword and Blade starting at you with perplexed expressions.
"That's good to hear," Meta Knight sighs, "Sword and Blade seem to not like it."
"Oh, but would you like me to cook for the rest of today?" You ask.
Meta Knight looks up. He stares at you for a while, and nods.
"Fine."

After that, Sword and Blade left for patrol leaving you and Meta Knight in the room.
"I watch from the balcony. You can sit in there and watch Channel DDD if you wish."
Not having anything else to do, you turn on the TV.

"Today, King Dedede has a big announcement!" Escargoon shouts.
"Yes, today I would like to announce my marriage with Y/N!"
You spit out half of your water.
Meta Knight jumped, wondering what caused that to happen. Was Dedede's comedy show funny to you?
"Yes, the wedding will take place... when?" Escargoon asks.
"This afternoon."
You spit the rest out. Meta Knight, annoyed, storms back into the room.

"What are you.." but before he can finish...
"IT CAN'T BE!" Tiff storms into the room.
"What is going on?!" Meta Knight asks.
The TV continues.
"We are now going to have a spot interview with the happy bride!" Escargoon says, waking down the castle hallways.
"Bride?" Meta Knight asks.
"I never said anything about becoming his bride!" You shout.
"Yes, we know Y/N!" Tiff comforts you a little with her calm voice.
"I'm still confused." Meta Knight says. Tiff sighs.
"KING DEDEDE IS SAYING THAT HE IS GOING TO MARRY Y/N THIS AFTERNOON!" She shouts.
Escargoon knocks on the door.
"He said such a thing?? If it's against Y/N's will then we will have to talk to the King himself to stop this. Tiff, you stay here and try to direct Escargoon the wrong way. Y/N, come with me." Suddenly, he picks you up and jumps out of the balcony.
"I ship it." Tiff whispers.

The two of you run into the throne room. Luckily, King Dedede is there eating chips.
"Your highness, it is to my attention that you have declared you marriage with Y/N without her approval." Meta Knight begins, turning his TV off.
"Wouldn't anyone be happy to marry a king though?" King Dedede asks. He looks at you, you look away.

(He looks at me, I look away, but does he see me anyway? *gets pummeled*)

"Sire, even Y/N has a heart. I'm sure she has her heart set on someone else." You glance over at Meta Knight for a second.
"King Dedede, I'm sorry but I must refuse your offer to marry me. Excuse us." You walk out. King Dedede stops Meta Knight for a second.
"What is it sire?" Meta Knight asks.
"Do you have your heart set on somebody?" King Dedede expected him to say no. However, Meta Knight turns around, his eyes pink, and replies "yes".
King Dedede, shamed, decided to not interfere with you two.

With that settled, you made lunch for everyone. Again, not looking at Sword and Blade you begin to eat.
This time Sword and Blade don't gag, and eat rather quickly. Meta Knight does as well.
"I must say this is rather tasty." He admits. You blush.
"I can make something for you three everyday if you wish. I mean, you're busy with your duties right?" You ask. Sword and Blade immediately take upon your offer. Defeated, Meta Knight asks you as well to cook for them.
Happily, you clean their plates up and return to the TV.

This time Escargoon was announcing that the wedding was called off. After that, a few comedy skits that weren't funny came on. Also, a re-run of the animation made by everyone in town played. You recognized Meta Knight's voice and it made you laugh.
"Look! It is Fire Dedede! Our hero!
... I would never say that!"
Your laughter brought Meta Knight back inside once more, wondering what's so funny. When he looked at the TV, he noticed in a second what it was.
"Y-Y/N did I sound that ridiculous?" Meta Knight asks. You continue to laugh.
"No! I was just wondering how such a handsome voice could say something so stupid!"
Then you caught yourself.
Too late.
"Handsome voice?" Meta Knight asks. You eyes  avert from him.
"Oh uh..."
The air became heavy and awkward. After a moment of silence, with the TV still running, you blurt "I'll go make dinner!" And rush off.
Leaving Meta Knight standing there, wondering if he may have a chance....
