MEMORY ACCESS GRANTED
THOMAS stared at her.
"Are... You're... You're leaving?" He gulped as tears filled his eyes.
"Thomas," Rae sighed, a few tears falling down her face. "I just, I can't be forced to watch our friends risk their lives in something that I made. I can't do that to them."
"Rae, baby, please... We can figure something out, just please don't leave me." He begged.
"Thomas, it'll be okay, I promise. We'll see each again." She said, sitting next to him on the bed.
"Rae..." He started, but no words came out.
As for Rae, there were so many things she wanted to tell him. How much she loved him and how much she had loved spending their life together. How much they had planned for their future.
Their story was most certainly not over, but for now? It was just on pause.
