Also known as ABAB rhyme scheme.
It rhymes as 'ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH.'
If the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th lines have the same rhyme and the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th lines also have another rhyme then this scheme is known as ABAB ABAB.

Example:

Running down the street,
Trying to come first,
Suddenly I got beat,
And all came to worst.

I cried and cried and cried,
Tears falling out of my eyes,
I thought I had died,
So I said my goodbyes.

I woke up later on,
Feeling all dazed,
Above me was Uncle John,
Looking amazed.

My life went back to normal,
Happy with laughter,
I was a precious jewel,
But now have come afar.
