The Tanka poem is very much like a Haiku but it has more syllables and base more around similes, metaphors and personification. There is no rhyming scheme just each line can only have a certain amount of syllables.
Line one: 5
Line two: 7
Line three: 5
Line four: 7
Line five: 7
Example:
We live with seasons
Summer we survive the heat
Autumn brings new change
Winter we endure the cold
And spring we can celebrate
autumn
seasons
