^victor, andrew and oliver.
unedited. sorry for abandoning this for so long.

indescribable moments of your life tonight
the impossible is possible tonight
believe in me as i believe in you, tonight.

90's rave. a colorful, laminated poster shook in front of kellin's face. shapes and random patterns and band patches decorated the sheet like a graffitied park bench. or more like the walls inside the entrance way of amoeba records.
"tonight. we gotta go." oli almost gasped. his sentence ended in a hush, like he was trying to shush himself. "i can get us in."
he spoke fast, faster than usual while still enunciating each word in that charming, persuading accent.

"did you rip that off someone's wall? what the fuck?" andy gasped as he scanned the poster.

last day in the city of angels. this is what catapulted oli into doing all he could to make it the most memorable day. after all, it was his last spring break of high school. and the last one he'd ever experience with his best friends.

sometimes he wished he was born just a year later.

so here they were, walking around town with no place to go. the wind served more in terms of direction than their phones did.

"it's not even a rave."
kellin's tone was dripping with condescension. a patronizing superiority he always pit against everyone else. as always, kellin was right. it wasn't technically a rave. just a party inside a club with special dj 'guests'. good music all night long and all the booze you could stomach.
"call it what you want." oli had brushed off kellin's words like they were nothing.
"we're underaged." vic pouted. "clearly says 21 and over. what if we get caught?"

vic pointed at the clear disclaimer written much smaller than everything else. the ice in his drink shook almost as much as his voice. condensation on the side of his cup masked the sweat beading on his palm.

he wanted so badly to go. a rave? something else to cross off his bucket list. but the catch was they could get caught, and it'd end terribly. the reality of it all set in. the flyer specifically said 21. dread left a distaste in vic's mouth similar to bile. theoretically, they could do it. they could get to and from the place, transportation wasn't an issue since the subways ran late. and they'd catch a bus. getting inside the rave—directly in the building was the issue.

so faking an id?
there's no way. you look like you're 12.
standing at 5'8 in combat boots, kellin was much taller. even if it was only by a little.
although they both had tiny ass frames, at least kellin didn't have such a baby face. well, kind of. it wasn't as bad as it used to be. andy and oli's tattoos did all the convincing they needed. they'd just show them off more than usual.
what if they get caught right at the doors? then what. his mom wouldn't ever let him go outside his room ever again. let alone hang out with the friends he snuck out with. or his boyfriend. ya chingaste todo, stupid ass.
wanna act grown? you get treated grown, his mother would say.

"and what if we don't?"
the most unfamiliar tone of voice came from andy's throat. even andy himself was surprised. usually he'd be the first one turning the idea down. anxiety disguised by responsibility. the thought of doing something outrageously risky panged at his adrenaline loving heart.

kellin raised an eyebrow at the eldest of the three.
"aren't you supposed to take care of us?" he questioned in a mocking tone. ebony waves defined by all the salt water they had been exposed to swished against his ears as he awaited a response. toying with car key jammed in his pocket, oli thought in silence.

"i said i would make sure you guys are safe and having fun. i'll keep you safe.. now we need to have a little fun."
there it was. the token devilish, 'do as i say' smirk. absolute mischief painted the hazel-eyed boy's face. "oh c'mon, sounds fun, right lads? 90's..." the flyer waved in front of their faces again, almost teasingly. "our decade."
"i was born in 2000." kellin muttered his breath.
"nobody asked kellarina."
