It's always apparent that proper time and place are a necessity in speech craft.
One word in the right circumstance can have the reverse effect during another.
For example: A boy who jokes with his girlfriend tells her that he kissed another girl.
If she was in a confident mood she would have laughed and knew he was joking, perhaps made a similar claim to turn the table.
However if she was feeling upset and insecure, a joke like that would hurt her. Weather she thought it was true or not.
Things like this is probably what causes most disagreements between friends.
Perhaps this book may help my readers. But who knows
