I know some of you may have done it in school today, but please, take a moment to remember the victims of the Parkland school shooting, which occurred one month ago. Just take 17 seconds to remember the 17 lives that were lost that day in Florida.
If you hear anyone say anything, make any threats, even if they're ' just joking ' TELL SOMEONE they may not be, it could save lives. We got a speech similar to this at my school.
This was something very tragic and touched me, and my friends/peers deeply. I remember coming home from school, just going back to my room and reading, and I got a text from one of my friends asking if I had heard about it and when I did I was mortified. Mortified because if something like that happened at my school, I... I honestly have no idea what I would do.
To all the families and students who have been affected by this, we stand by you, we feel so sorry, that something like this had to happen to you.
I hope, if I said anything that could make someone unhappy, or offended, I had no intention of doing that. As I said, this was something that touched me, and a lot of different people. I mean no offense.
