Was it the distance that tore us apart?,
Or was there nothing from the start,
Was everything we had just a dream?,
Or was it all truly real,
I remember us playing like there was no care in the world,
We were so close no other words were heard,
There was no serious arguments,
No lies about us,
We were always together through thick and thin,
But now together we will never win,
Can we blame it on the Distance?,
When we were suddenly kept apart,
Each time we met,
We were no longer the same,
Our ages our personalities,
Our looks yes they changed,
But why couldn't we take it?,
Each time we met we were strangers,
Looking back at the memories,
It was the 5 of us smiling so happily,
We never thought it would end,
Planned so much yet failed,
To fulfil those many dreams,
I remember us running through the park,
Chasing one another playing 'tig and tag',
But were different people now,
All that's left are those memories,
Hidden in those photographs,
Whether smiling, whether frowning,
I wanna turn back time,
But I'm also happy now yet I still miss you all dearly,
So tell me,
Was it the Distance that drifted us apart?,
Would things have been different if we didn't move so far?,
Was it really the distance?...
