[ Chapter 6 : Satisfaction ]
Okay. Call me weird. Or clingy. Or whatever you want to call me.
But I wanted to keep talking to this Xavier dude.
I just wanted to know , okay? I just wanted to know.
He was now like a puzzle that I wanted to unravel , like a code that I wanted to break.
Every night , when I wouldn't be able to sleep , I'd start thinking of him and making theories about what was really going on in his life.
So , after a couple of days of our last chat , I decided that I should probably take initiative and text first.
Layla : so what now?
Xavier : What??!
Layla : do we like...just stop talking???
Xavier : duh.
Layla : like we never happened..?
Xavier : what are you talking about ?
Xavier : we never happened anyway lol ^_^
Layla : woah did you just say lol?
Xavier : yeah....?
Layla : so you actually do know how to Laugh Out Loud ?
Xavier : no shit Sherlock , everyone laughs . Even if it's a bitter , sarcastic , emotionless laugh .
Layla : sooo...that was a sarcastic , bitter , emotionless laugh??
Xavier : not my point =_=
Layla : hm..you kinda sound alive today....
Xavier : I do?
Layla : yes. You don't have that monotone , robotic tone that you always seem to have...
Xavier : ...mhm.
Layla : did something good Happen?
Xavier : I don't know...maybe.
Layla : oh my gosh!!!
Layla : something good Happened to that person you care about am I wrong??
Xavier : yes. She's awake.
Layla : she was sleeping.
Xavier : coma.
Layla : oh.
Layla : I'm happy for you!!!
Xavier : yeah... Thx , I guess
Layla : is she your girlfriend? Your wife? Who?
Xavier : wife??? How old do you think I am lol.
Layla : I don't know... 50???
Xavier : no. I'm 22.
Layla : wow....
Xavier : yes , and I'm H.O.T , too.
Layla : XD that rhymed!!
Layla : that makes two times, you know.
Xavier : what?
Layla : lol. You laughed twice.
Xavier : you don't know if I did.
Xavier : I could be sitting here with a poker face and typing lol like everyone else does today.
Layla : sucker...
Layla : so...she was your girlfriend??
Xavier : sister.
Layla : oh. I never would've guessed.. you had a sister.
Xavier : *HAVE
Xavier : plus , you don't know me , so yeah.
Layla : oh...but how is she related to the...body??
Xavier : can we not talk about that..?
Layla : but I'm curious...
Xavier : you sound so whiny , you know.
Xavier : I think I told you before ; curiosity killed the cat.
Layla : yes. Curiosity killed the cat...
Layla : but satisfaction brought it back.
