It had been a week since Chris had texted you through Bas's phone, and the thought of him talking about you always brighten your day. You tapped your phone on the counter of the coffee bistro you owned, bored out of your mind. Bas should be landing anytime, and as always you were eager to hear from him. Not just to alleviate your boredom but cause he just made your day brighter.
Emily had bought tickets to a convention coming up. And you couldn't wait to tell him. Of course he would give you a hard time about it but still.
Bas: dear god, I swear that was the longest flight I've been on. And trust me, I've been on a lot of flights.
You: did tsa frisk you?
Bas: no, thank god.
You: maybe that's why your grumpy? Maybe they should of frisked you.
Bas: well someone has there mind in the gutter.
You: me? How did you get my mind in gutter and tsa frisking you?
Bas: come on, tell me you weren't thinking about them frisking me.
You: and if I was?
Bas: naughty girl.
You: anyway, guess what!
Bas: your ritual sacrifice didn't work and you need bail money now.
You: uh, a.) my sacrifices alway work and 2.) Emily got her and I tickets to a con next week.
Bas: your seeing a con? Well that escalated, here I thought we were partners in forever singleton.
You: omg, no, a con a convention. Ugh, didn't realize I had to spell it out.
Bas: oh, one of those things you nerdy people do.
You: I'm not a nerd, I have heathy love for the movies I enjoy.
Bas: fine, who's going to be there? And are you dressing up?
You: no I won't dress up. And two of my favorites are going to be there.
Bas: let me guess.
Bas: that Bucky dude and his idiotic friend?
You: uh, it's Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans thank you very much.
Bas: as I said that Bucky dude, with the annoying long hair, and his deputy do right friend, with the perfectly coifed hair.
You: your in mood.
Your phone started ringing before you could text out another response.
"Sorry, I didn't mean for that to come out so harsh." He sounded tired, no doubt he was. "Back to why aren't you dressing up?"
"I don't know, it would take to long to put something together." You reply, wiping the counter down, seeing your employee come in for her evening shift.
"Are you going to gets photos with them?" He asked, you could hear the sounds of the airport going on in the background.
"Hey, are you talking to her?" You heard a voice in the back ground of his phone.
"Yes, with both of them." You tell him, waving bye to your relief, exiting the building after bundling up.
"Nice, sounds like fun." He sounded distracted, you could hear the other person telling him he wanted to talk. "Chris seriously, dude, knock it off."
"I'm guessing your with your friend and you didn't throw him in Thames?" You laugh as you cross the street.
"Yeah, no, I didn't. Beginning to regret that I didn't. Hey, knock that off. He desperately wants to talk to you." Bas informed you and yelled at his friend.
"I'm guessing he's in one of his moods again?" You stepped on to the bus that would take you home.
"Yes, of course he is. He's always in one of his moods." He replied, you heard a squabble break out on the other side of his phone.
"Hey." A male voice announced suddenly, laughing. "I'm Chris."
"Hi Chris. Did you fight Bas for his phone?" You laugh shaking your head.
"Yeah maybe," he sounded slightly out breath.
"Are you running?" You lean forward in your seat trying to listen closer.
"Hell yeah, cause the minute he catches me I'm a dead man." He huffed out, you could imagine what the people at the airport were thinking as they were chasing each other.
"If you knew he was going to kill you, then why did you steal his phone?"
"Cause, how else am I going to talk to you? I mean, come on, he's always staring at his phone grinning like an idiot, talking about you." He took a deep breath, another scuffle broke out.
"I'd like to apologize for my friend, seems he was transported back to high school." Bas's voice returned, breathing heavily. "Anyway I have a cab to catch with boy wonder here so I'll text you later."
"Have fun." You hung up the phone, laughing to yourself.

You spent the rest of your evening putting the final touches on one of your manuscripts. And with a flourish hit send to a possible editor and publisher, then you panicked because you actually did. You snagged your phone, and in the panic you went and texted the one person to calm you down.
You: Bas, I'm an idiot. Oh dear god what did I do?
Bas: I don't know, babe what did you do?
You: sent off one of my stories.
Bas: good about time.
You: THATS NOT HELPING!!
Bas: I'm sorry hold on,SHIT, I CANT BELIEVE YOU DID THAT!!!
You: uh, better.
Bas: but really though good. I don't know why you're freaking out, what's the worst that could happen?
You: they could like it and want to publish.
Bas: you are so backwards.
You: your just now realizing this?
You: so what time zone are you in?
Bas: eastern. I get to spend a couple glorious days at home before I jet off to some where else.
You: so what are you going to do with yourself?
Bas: I don't know, relax, sacrifice, maybe con you into having phone sex with me again. Listen to music, watch a documentary or two
You: did you have to bring up the phone sex? I still can't believe we did that.
Bas: I didn't hear you complain about it.
You: true, but most of the time when people do that they know each other.
Bas: you know me, well, hopefully the only part that matters.
You: you do have a point. But you do sacrifice to the dark lord, you still could be like an axe murder.
Bas: so do you. Are you projecting?
You: but I still don't know stuff about you. Like what do you do for a living? Why are you always traveling? That kind of thing.
There was a long pause, your heart pounding, you guys had never approached these subjects. Just content on talking about everything else, occasionally flirting nothing this serious.
Bas: I'll make you a deal.
You: I'm listening.
Bas: I have a lot going on the next week. After that I'll tell you everything about me that you want to know.
You: sounds good.
