tw: suicide

Evan walked through the woods slowly, inching closer and closer to the sound of rushing water. He climbed a tree near the edge of the water, almost to the top branches.

"You're just a loser." Evan repeated quietly.

Slowly, he stood on top of the branch. He walked carefully along it until he was nearly at the edge.

The water sparkled below him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Why don't you do us all a favor and disappear."

He stuck one foot off the edge of the branch and counted.

1...

2...

3...

Evan jumped off the edge of the branch and fell hard into the water, hitting his head. Blood flowed through the water around him.

He drifted into a world where, for once in his life, everything would finally be alright.
