Adrian

I snuck out of the house, leaving my breakfast on the table uneaten. On my way out, I don't see father or Natalie or my bodyguard since it's still early in the morning. And I'm glad so I don't have to walk quietly to the door.

I head to Marinette's house to get the poem I wrote for the assignment. And I'm going to borrow the poem, not steal it. Plagg first thought I was going to steal it, but of course not. I would never. I never stole anything in my life. Well... that's not entirely true, I stole a book from my father once that he had a safe in his office which I didn't know before. But I put the book in my book bag because I panicked and I don't know where to put that book when Natalie came in.

But this time I'm not stealing it. This time it's about my love for Ladybug and I want Ladybug to read it. I don't know how I'm going to get it back and I know I have to tell the truth. But I have to exclude Ladybug because I'm embarrassed. And I don't know how Marinette will react to me coming to her house early in the morning, but I think she won't mind me borrowing the poem from her for a while. After all, we're good friends.

I cross the street just when I near the school. I know that Marinette's house is just beside the school. And I know she lives in the attic where her room is almost big as mine. I've only been there a few times as Cat Noir and once as Adrian.

I stop in front of the bakery trying to find something to say to Marinette to borrow the poem from her. But my mind is just a blank slate. I take a deep breath before I push open the bakery door.

When I enter the bakery, I'm hit with the delicious smell of pastries and baked goods. I inhale the delicious smell before I walk further in as it leaves a trail of steam and it drags me forward. There aren't a lot of people in here. Just a few people looking at the long glasses that holds in the delicious muffins, croissants and many more.

I spot Marinette's parents behind the counter. Her mother is behind the cash register while her father is putting a pan full of blueberry muffins. I watch her father gently put the muffins on a metal rack behind a sign that reads, 'Blueberry Muffins'.

My mouth immediately waters and my stomach growls with hunger as I continue to watch the muffins that are fresh from the oven.

When Marinette's father, Tom, notices me, he greets me with a smile and a wave, "Good morning, Adrian. You want a muffin? They're fresh baked from the oven."

I shake my head to get my eyes from the muffins before I look up at Tom, who is now standing and not crouching down to put away the first few muffins on the front row. I nod and he hands me a muffin that is still steaming.

I thank him before I take the delicious muffin from him.

"Pleasure is all mine." Tom smiles before he continues to put away the muffins.

I peel the thin paper from the sides of the muffin before taking a bite from it. The taste lingers in my mouth and I moan at the taste. I feel the shaking in my pocket, knowing it's Plagg saying that I just moaned out loud, but I couldn't care more. I gain a few stares from the people near me as they stare at me weirdly. I smile sheepishly at them before I swallow the muffin.
