When I got into school I seen Betty and Veronica walking down the hall. I start to jog over to them and as I got to them I had a small dizzy spell. I'm fine. Mind over matter.
"Oh hey R!" Veronica says with a huge smile. "I was just telling B about our inspiration project."
"Oh o-okay." I say with a stutter. What's wrong with me? I never stutter.
"Do you guys know who you're going to write about for your project?" Betty asked us.
"I'll be writing about my Archiekins. But don't tell him that, I want it to be a surprise." Veronica says with a big smile.
"That's so sweet of you V. What about you Rebecca?" Betty asked me.
"I was thinking of doing my mom." I say to her.
"Are you sure?" Veronica asked me.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked Veronica. Why would she care who I'm doing for my project.
"It's just...your mom is very sensitive topic for you. I'm just asking if you'll be okay to write it." Veronica says to me.
"What am I 5? I'll be fine V." I say to her.
"Woah turn to the side again R!" Betty says as she takes out her phone and shines her light in my face.
"Ow! Betty!" I say to her.
"Hold still!" Veronica says as she holds m face and Betty's bright white light snaps a photo.
"Oh my god R!" Veronica says shockingly.
"W-what?" I asked.
"Look at this." Betty says as she shows a picture with a small bruise on my face from Reggie. Shit! I didn't use enough concealer!

"What happened?" Veronica asked.
Should I tell the truth? Or lie?
"Uhhhh I was helping my dad move some things over to his desk and when I was grabbing a picture frame off the wall...it fell on me." I say with a small smile.
"Oh wow! You should be careful R!" Veronica says as she hugs me.
"Yeahhhhhh careful." Betty says as she looks at me weirdly.
"Yeah clumsy me!" I say with a small giggle.
"I got to get to class." Betty says with a smile. "Oh before I leave." She says as she pushed me to the side. "Have you eaten anything today R?" Betty whispered.
"Again, what am I 5?" I say to her getting a little frustrated. I know she cares an all but I don't need to be treated like a baby.
"I just worry that's all. I will see you at lunch." She says as she walks down the hall.
"What was that about?" Veronica asked.
"O-oh She was just talking about Chic and how weird he is." I said with a small smile.
"Oh he seems weird. I'll catch you later R." Veronica says as she walks down the hall.
I start to walk down the hall in the other direction when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Toni.
"Can I help you?" I asked her as I put my hand on my hip.
"No but maybe I can help you." Toni says.
"W-what are you talking about?" I say to her.
"I saw what happened yesterday with your ex boyfriend. Did he do that all the time with you?" She asked me.
"I still don't know what you're talking about." I say as I try to walk away but she stops me. I know exactly what she's talking about, I had an incline someone probably saw but I didn't think it would be her.
"You don't have to go through this alone. If you need to talk I'll be at Pop's tonight." Toni says as she heads down the hall.
"Yeah, okay Winona Ryder." I say under my breath as I walk down the hall.
"Rebecca Smythes please report to the principals office! Rebecca Smythes please report to the principals office! Thank you." I hear a voice from the speaker system. Oh great!
I turn around and start walking towards Mr. Weatherbee's office. Before I enter I knock on his door.
"Rebecca! Please come in!" He says as he ushers me to take a seat.
"Why did you call me Principal Weatherbee?" I asked him.
"It was brought to my attention from another student that someone was aggressive with you yesterday. Is that correct?" He asked me.
"Can you be more specific?" I asked Principal Weatherbee.
"This student seen another student hit you in the face? Is this true?" He asked me.
"Who was it?" I asked him. What student said this?
"They wanted to remain anonymous. But is it true?" He asked me one more time.
"'That student' must of been high as a kite cause all I remember is walking in the school." I say to him as I cross my legs one over the other.
"A-Alright Miss Smythes. You are free to go." He says as I get up from my chair to leave.
"Oh Rebecca. Your mother wanted me to remind you that you have an appointment after school." He says to me.
"Step Mother!" I say as I walk out of the principals office.
