    Palette's P.O.V.

Throughout the whole journey so far, Palette had been unusually quiet. The others probably thought that she was still grieving, but that wasn't the case. It was Goth. He comforted her before they came here when she needed it, but why? He shouldn't care about her. He shouldn't! Palette felt a light green blush rise to her face at the thought. She immediately covered her face with her hands.

Do I... CARE about him? Palette questioned herself. I shouldn't! It's like oil and water. We don't mix! Yet, I still... She broke away from her thought when she felt a soft tap on her shoulder. She whipped around only to see Goth looming over her. (Goth is taller than Palette.) She slightly looked up and said nothing. Goth smiled a little bit, and Palette noticed a light purple blush rise on his face. No... she grumbled in her head.

"You, okay?" asked Goth as they both walked down the dark hallway with the group. "You haven't spoken much so far. It's kinda odd, you know, since your the leader of the cheerleading squad?" Palette rolled her eyes.

"You're the one to talk," she grumbled. Goth held her hand and she glared at him with her 'stop it or I will kill you' stare, yet he didn't let go.

Wow, he must be really brave to not let go when I do that!  Palette guessed in her head. She silently tried to get away from Goth's grip, but she felt safe. She didn't want to let go. Goth sighed and glanced at her sympathetically.

"I know your grieving, but you need to let it go. I've lost my family, Geno, Reaper, and Xahji, too, and I know how it feels. At the end of this journey, we will bring our world back and you will be able to see your family again." Palette slowly nodded, then rested her head on Goth's shoulder. Goth wrapped his arm around her as them kept walking. Palette sighed. She noticed that her brother, PaperJam, was glaring angrily at Goth. Palette glared back. PaperJam took the hint and looked away. This was the first time since they started this journey that she actually felt safe. But, of all things, it was with Goth. Right now, she didn't care. Nothing mattered to her. Well, other than Goth.
