    Fresh's P.O.V.

    The area around her was dark. You could even say that it was lifeless. Fresh wandered aimlessly around the dark void. Suddenly, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw a familiar figure standing before her. A skeleton covered in what seemed like ink stared at her coldly, his smile turning into a frown. Fresh's heart stopped for a second, but then she slightly relaxed when she realized that it was Nightmare.

    "Oh, hello, Nightmare," she muttered. Nightmare's eyes burned with anger as he trapped her in his tentacles.

    "Traitor! Where have you been?!" screeched Nightmare. Fresh struggled and gasped for air. "First you, and now Killer is disappearing! Well, sometimes... Anyway, Storm and the others told me you were dead! Did you fake your death? Tell me, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Fresh tried to catch her breath, fearing for the worst.

    "Catching up with my group! I can't just leave them behind, can I?" hissed Fresh. Nightmare glowered, sighing angrily.

    "I guess you can't leave them behind, but you still owe me! Remember...?"  he snarled. "I saved your life!" He aimed one of his tentacles towards Fresh's head. "say goodbye, Fresh!" he laughed.

    "No!"

    Fresh quickly opened her eyes, holding her breath. Beside her, PaperJam was already up, giving her a worried look. Fresh's heart beat rapidly, and she took a deep breath, glad that she wasn't dead. Though, she did feel kind of... different...

    "Are you okay, Fresh?" he asked. Fresh realized that he must've noticed that she had a bad dream. Fresh faced him and sighed.

    "I'm fine..." she murmured. PaperJam narrowed his eyes and shook his head.

    "Your not fine, Fresh. C'mon, you can tell me!" he said, clearly looking for a way to comfort her. Fresh glanced at the ceiling, then back at PaperJam.

    "Just a nightmare, nothing serious. You don't have to worry," said Fresh. PaperJam gave her a worried glance, but then shrugged.

    "C'mon, we have to meet the others downstairs," he said before getting up and leaving the room. As Fresh got out of bed, she sighed, knowing that the weight of her past would soon crush her.

~~~~Time skip 5 minutes~~~~
    Fresh couldn't keep track of the days. Because they were in a void of some sort, there was no way to keep track of the days. They could have been it this void for a month for all Fresh knew. As they left the house after eating breakfast, a portal opened, and another skeleton just about the height of Ink dashed out of it. They wore a yellow scarf and with a star on the front of it. They had a small crown-like thing on their head, a blue shirt, blue pants, yellow gloves, and a belt-like thing around their waist. It said "DS" on the front and little blue glass balls around it. Each of them had a dark blue heart on the front, and they had a light-blue cloth covering them with a moon-star design on it. They had a frightened look plastered on their face. Regular Cross, Ink and Error whipped around and saw the skeleton.
    "Oh, hello Dream," said Regular Cross. "What do you want?" Regular Dream stopped to catch his breath.
    "It's... it's my... my brother..." he huffed. "He... he's out... of control...! You need... to help... me..." As Regular Dream started to collapse, Regular Cross caught him. He glanced at the others, and narrowed his eyes.
    "The nine of you need to go. Now!" he growled. "The rest of us will handle this," he said as he helped Dream get through the portal. Error went in, next, but Ink stood there and looked back, concern in his eyes. Error popped out and gave him an icy glare.
    "C'mOn, InKy! We CaN't KeEp ThEm WaItIng!" he snapped. Ink looked at him, then back at the rest of them.
    "S... stay safe... okay...?" he asked. Error rolled his eyes and sighed heavily.
    "ScReW tHiS!" he snapped before grabbing Ink and dragging him into the portal and closing it. As soon as they left, everyone looked at Cross, ready to leave. He took out his sword and cut through thin air, revealing a portal.
    "Now, I don't know where this portal goes," he said. "So keep your eyes open, okay? We don't know what's on the other side." Everyone nodded and left the clearing.
    When everyone exited the portal, Cross closed it. Fresh looked around her and found that they were in a forest covered with snow, similar to the one from Underfell. Suddenly, Fresh collapsed, pain consuming her. For a moment, it was as if she couldn't breathe. As she got her breath back again, PaperJam ran over to her and crouched near her. She lay on the ground, unable to move from the pain, and she felt something dripping from her head to her hand. When she glanced at PaperJam, his eye were tiny dots, almost invisible. The smile that he had a few days ago was overrun by fear and terror.
    "Freshy...?" he chocked, tears flowing from his eyes. Fresh let herself go limp, and her head loll.
    "Help... me..." she rasped. PaperJam picked her up, his expression growing dark.
    "We'll help you... Just... hold on... please...!" cried PaperJam. "Why can our lives just be simple?" he asked himself. Fresh closed her eyes. She was to tired to do anything now. The pain was too intense. It was way worse than the pain she felt when she lost her family. Then, Cross's voice came again.
    "Here we go again..."
