~~~~Undershift is my own AU, btw~~~~
    Cray's P.O.V.
    "It isn't much of an AU anymore," hissed a sudden voice. All three of the jumped, startled. Cray swiftly turned his head towards the door. A skeleton with blue marks coming from his eyes, head, and cheeks stood before them. His hands were blue, and he wore a blue jacket with two , big, dark-grey stripes on each sleeve. He wore a pair of black shorts with two white stripes on each of the sides, and a pair of pink slippers. He had two white pinpricks for eyes. They were blue on the top, and they each had a little black pinprick in the middle. And, like Shift, he had the power to shape shift. Cray relaxed as he realized that it was Undershift!Sans. He told them to call him Mist for whatever reason. Probably because he turns into mist before shifting shapes.
    "Goth, this is Mist," said Cray.
    "What do you mean by that? What happened?" asked Palette, tilting her head to the side in curiosity. They had only been here for a few days, and they hadn't been able to explore beyond the Ruins. According to Mist, they were in Toriel's home, but Cray hadn't seen anyone who looked like they were from Goat Simulator around here, just Mist, his brother, and a different version of Shift. Mist shifted his gaze towards them, sorrow dancing in his eyes.
    "I'm not exactly sure," he confessed. "All I know is that our world was almost destroyed, like yours, and the Ruins was the only thing that survived, along with me, my bro, and Petal," he explained. (Petal is Regular Shift's temporary nickname, btw) "Before you say anything, Yes, Petal has a sister, or had a sister. Her AU was also destroyed, and she lost her sister afterwards. Soon, she found our AU and we took her in. Don't say anything about her sister to Petal. She gets kind of... um... sensitive," he huffed. As Mist left, Palette mouthed "oh..." and stood up.
    "Come on, Gothy," she purred, smiling. "Let's go see the others!" Goth slowly got up from bed, clutching his head. Cray glanced at him, still skeptical. They'd been having a little rivalry over Palette, and she was completely oblivious to it. Well, Goth has saved his life, and he saved Goth's, so he guessed that they were cool.
    A little bit.
    They all left the bedroom and went into the dining room. Once in the room, Cray saw everyone in there. Most were sitting at the table, and PaperJam, Fresh, and Cross were hanging out. Usually, Cross would hang out with Dream, but they've been having a few fights recently.
    Okay, a lot of fights.
    "What is this, a hospital for wandering versions of us?" Petal was saying. She glared at Ray with a weary expression, as if she had been up all night. When she saw them, she immediately snapped shut, her eyes narrowing. Beside her was a tall skeleton with a long jaw and an orange scarf. He, too, had orange marks coming from his eyes, head and cheeks, though not the exact same as Mist's marks. He also had orange hands.
    "OH, PALETTE! AND CRAY!" said the skeleton as he saw them entering the room. "I SEE YOUR FRIEND HAS WOKEN UP!" Cray nodded, and tilted his head towards Goth's direction.
    "Hey, Ray," he said. "This is Goth. Goth, this is Ray. His real name is Papyrus, or Undershift!Papyrus, but he told us to call him Ray after learning about AUs," he explained. He suddenly felt very weird. He wasn't used to being this cool with Goth before. Considering their rivalry over Palette so far, it felt awkward being nice to him, and not actually giving him a death stare or anything of relation. He shrugged, trying to put his uneasiness to the back of his head. Cray snapped out of his thought when Mist got up from his chair.
    "Well, now that you're all here, I'd like to show you what has happened to our world," he said, heading out of the room while beckoning the others to follow him. They went down some stairs and into a basement-like place. Soon, they were in front of a door. Mist reached out his hand to open it, but then froze. Cray tilted his head, wondered what Mist was thinking about. Then, Mist sighed and opened the double doors. Cray froze at what he saw, trying to catch his breath. Outside, a white blanket covered everything, just as it did with their world. He saw many monsters floating in the air, lifeless, and their eyes dark. It was like they were balloons. Cray gulped as he remembered Haven!Sans and his last words. He shivered at the cruel sight.
    "There's a barrier around this AU to keep Glaze from controlling everyone," he explained. "That's why they stick to the top like that. Now, I can't even get supplies for me, Petal, and Ray to survive on without getting caught. Only some of them get you. If some of them see you, especially the one who runs the store," he hissed, pointing towards a store to the side. "You're done."
    "Isn't there supposed to be a forest between the Ruins and Snowdin?" asked Cross. Mist nodded, curiosity dancing in his eyes.
    "Yes, but the day after Glaze's attack, it was all gone. Now, that forest is all the way at the end of Snowdin for whatever reason," huffed Mist. "We should go back, now. It's about time when the bunny who owns the Snowdin shop comes out. After the attack, I stole some supplies from her, and now she hates me." Just after Mist said that, a human-like bunny with purple ears and purple marks on her arms stepped out of the shop. She, too, had eyes that were lifeless. Mist quickly shoved them out of the way, shutting the doors behind him. He hit Cray in the ribs while closing the doors.
    "Hey, man!" he growled, clutching his chest. "Not cool!"
    "I'm sorry," apologized Mist. "As long as she doesn't have her soul, she can be very aggressive. At this state, she doesn't like visitors. Like I said, if she sees you, along with some of the others, you're dead," he hissed. Cray glared at him, then let him lead the way back upstairs.
    "Hey, Goth! Cray!" said Palette a few minutes after they had gotten back upstairs. She sat down beside them, holding three red slushees. "Look!" she said, sticking out her tongue. "My tongue is red!" Cray grinned at the sight. Finally, they had the chance to relax. After that long of a journey, he thought they needed a nice, long break.
    "Mmm-hmm," said Goth, his eyes glued to a book. "And mine is blue."
    "Why don't we make it purple?" asked Palette. Goth immediately tore his eyes away from the book, a red blush rising to his face.
    "W-what?" he asked, his gaze slowly meeting hers.
    "What do you mean?" asked Palette, holding out the red slushees. "I've got a few red slushees. Ya know, red plus blue equals purple?" she asked, handing them the slushees.
    "Ooooh..." muttered Goth, probably realizing what Palette meant. Cray tried to hold his laugh in, but he couldn't take it. Suddenly, he burst out laughing, which made Goth blush even harder.
   "D-dude, y-you t-thought she m-meant..." he couldn't finish his sentence because he was laughing so hard. Never in his life had his ribs hurts so much. Especially from laughing. Cray saw Goth take a sigh of relief, glaring at Cray. Soon, he started to laugh, too. Palette gave them a curious look.
    "Um... I don't get it," she said. Cray thought that it was adorable at the fact that she didn't get it. Goth and Cray caught their breaths, heaving. (if you don't get the joke, sorry, can't help ya there. No way am I putting the meaning of that joke on this book. You're gonna have to find it out yourself.)
    "Don't worry about it," said Cray, trying not to laugh any harder. He glanced towards Goth's direction and saw his face lose it's light.
    "Hey, Goth?" he asked. Goth glanced at him, expressionless. "What's wrong?" Goth looked at him, surprised. Then, his expression softened, and all happiness that he had shown earlier was dead.
    "It's about a dream I had. My family visited me. Geno, Reaper, and Xahji. For some reason, Snazzy and his bros were there, too. Apparently, Xahji and Snazzy became an item without me knowing," his voice trailed off.
    "Hey, Cil and Quill were together without me or PJ knowing, too. Trust me, it's shocking," said Palette. Goth glanced at her and grinned.
    "Anyway," he sighed, getting back on track. "Xahji told me that they would be watching over us, and that everything would be okay," he explained. Suddenly, his gaze darkened. "But what if they're wrong?" he asked. "You've seen Cross and Dream fight a lot, and he's our leader. He can't cooperate with all of that drama. I'm just afraid that the group will fall apart." He flung his gaze to the ground, sighing. Cray froze, then tried to reassure him.
    "Hey, come on, man! PJ is, like, second-in-command! Plus, I think him and Fresh are an item, now! With those two around, I think we're fine!"
    "Ahhhhh!" As soon as Cray heard that scream, he looked down in defeat.
    "Or, maybe not," said Palette as she headed out of the bedroom. "Come on. I think it came from the dinning room," she said.
