Avery's P.O.V:

As the day progressed the nagging feeling I felt inside my stomach grew larger and stronger with every second that passed. The clock ticked louder and louder as my heart raced. What was I supposed to do with two cheerleaders as my roommates? I was supposed to go to college quietly and without any complications interrupting me. Now I had a really cheery roommate and a roommate who didn't seem pleased to have me living with them. To top that off I knew they were going to attract attention towards me whether I liked or not.

Ackline seemed extremely open-minded and friendly whereas Alice seemed like she would rather I not be their roommate. Alice seemed as if she rather not associate herself with me like I was the worst person in the entire world and to be completely honest I didn't care. I came to college to learn and stay away from people who brought drama with them. Not be buddy-buddy with my roommates. I was looking forward to having a quiet college life but the chances at that were slim if I were to be a roommate to these two. I knew I was over exaggerating but could you blame me?

After Ackline showed me where the restroom was and told me a little about the dorm we would be sharing this semester. She then proceeded to show me where my room was located and she handed me another key. When I looked around the dorm, a light smile was on my face. The dorm was beautiful with a well-lit kitchen and a beautiful bathroom.

When I looked into my room I was mesmerized. It was so charming, it seemed to be extremely cozy and I knew it was at least two times larger than my old bedroom. I realized I wanted my bed near the window and I wanted everything else in completely different places, I worked on moving things to my liking.

As I started pushing my bed towards the same side as my window was located I couldn't help but stare out of the window. The sun was shining brightly and the autumn leaves were falling off the large trees. The faint sound of birds chirping filled my ears and the little fountain in the middle of the campus yard was wonderful. As I looked out the window I knew I would like it here even though I have cheerleaders as my roommates. I thought it was pretty funny how I ended up with probably the best room in the dorm. I thought I would have gotten the worst room because I was so slow in actually getting to the college.

Leaving home was the hardest thing I had ever had to deal with in my entire life. I was a crying heap of limbs held together by the hugs of my parents. I have never left home, even the mere thought of it always made me quiver with fear and anxiety.

Before I turned my head from the window I saw multiple guys running towards the fountain. The interesting and facetious thing was that they all seemed to be in tight pink boxers. The boxers were all too small for the large males wearing them, they all had broad shoulders that seemed to be sculpted by the hands of the best artist in the world. They each had six-packs and when my eyes roamed lower let's just say they had very large assets.

As I gawked at the guys at the fountain I was caught staring. As if one of them could feel my stare he turned and looked up to my window. If I wasn't blushing from embarrassment when I was openly staring, I was now from the intense gaze the guy had on me. His face held the biggest smirk I had ever seen in my entire life and I was intrigued by him. He placed his hand to his mouth and moved it away as if to blow a kiss and then he winked. A smile of my own was on my face and I couldn't help but laugh at his antics.

As if being in the middle of the campus in pink boxers wasn't foolish enough, the men in pink boxers decided it was a fantastic idea to take a little shower. One by one they all stepped into the fountain and danced like they were ballerinas, the last to hop in the fountain was the guy who had caught me staring at him.

As he danced he stared at me and his foolery was the best thing I have ever seen in years. Ten minutes after they had gotten in the fountain they had gotten a crowd to form around them and they started to do the Macarena.

Laughing I turned away from the window and finished moving my bed to the place I wanted it to be. As I dragged my desk directly in front of the window and I placed the office chair right in front of the desk. When I finished placing everything exactly where I wanted it to be, I started to unpack my clothes into the drawers and everything else where it belonged.

When I finished giving my room a completely new style I was exhausted and just about ready to collapse onto my bed. I wanted to curl up with a cheesy romance novel and get lost in it. The sun went down and I just then realized how hungry I was. Taking a deep breath I got off my bed and went to the door, leaving my room for the first time since I got here.

Two sets of eyes landed on me and I felt as awkward as I did when I first came to the dorm. Smiling awkwardly at them I proceeded to the kitchen but when I got in there I realized that I hadn't gone to buy groceries. As I turned around Ackline was standing in front of me with a plate with two slices of pizza on it.

"Here, I realized you hadn't gone grocery shopping so I took the liberty to make sure to order enough pizza for five instead of four." she smiled lazily and happily.

"Oh, it's alright. I'll just go and get something at a store. I don't want to take your food."

"Omg."

"What?"

"You really don't like taking anything from anyone do you?"

"Not really." I shyly smiled "I prefer to let others eat their food rather than I take it."

"Well tough luck. Eat this."

Laughing at her little command I grabbed the plate and thanked her. "You're welcome, Avery."

She turned to walk away but then stopped abruptly "Oh and Avery."

"Yeah?"

"We're roommates now, so, don't worry I have your back no matter what. Also, Alice will come around, I promise. She always wanted to have our roommate be a cheerleader as well but she did say she likes you even if she doesn't show it."

"Okay, thanks."

"So we have each others backs no matter what." With that said she turned around and went back to her position on the couch. I realized I hadn't been fair to Alice or Ackline. I didn't give them a chance.

When I finished my pizza I decided to go to the public restroom instead of using the one in our room. Alice's friend and Ackline's boyfriend would be over to come eat the pizza and since I already ate I decided to brush my teeth, relieve myself and go to bed.

I wanted to have as much energy as possible for my first class at nine in the morning.
