"Alexandria Rhodes!" My principal calls as I rise from my seat. The WDW boys, my friends, and my family erupt in cheers. My face tints slightly pink, but I'm thankful they didn't make a sign. I glance over their way—never mind, they made a sign. Daniel is screaming and jumping up and down, waving the sign.
I walk up the steps and accept my diploma. I've graduated. Officially done with high school. Officially done with this world. Officially done with the safety. Officially done with this life. New things are coming, but I'm sure as hell not leaving everything behind. I'm certainly not going to leave Daniel, Clove, Robbie, or anyone behind. Except for maybe Diane. Although, she symbolizes victory in my eyes. We finally got her off her high steed. She was actually in a lot of bad shit. She got expelled. Too bad for her, I guess.
"Woo!" Daniel calls once more as I chuckle and wave in his direction. No, I wasn't going to leave this goofy idiot behind anytime soon.
