Also, in this the user's quirk is called Third Eye - here's the description of it!

"Third Eye"
User has a "third eye" (can be figurative or literal), giving them telekinesis and telepathy, as well as giving them the ability to teleport short distances.
Drawbacks: If it is overused, the third eye will "close", and they have to wait a while before they can use it again. Additionally, the user has little control over the direction they teleport in when they do, and become slight dizzy/disoriented every time they teleport

I was nervous, that much was obvious.

But who in their right mind wouldn't be, in my situation?

Today we were doing a training exercise. Pairs were chosen randomly, and basically we were to have an all out battle in a giant arena.

It was similar to the sports festival, in a way; as we were to battle our way to the top in bracket-style round-based fights.

Unfortunately, I was paired up with arguably one of the strongest people in class 1A - Shoto Todoroki. However, that wasn't the only thing I was worried about.

Well, you see... he was also my crush.

When Mr. Aizawa announced the pairs, I squeaked, turned red, and sunk down into my seat.

Everyone turned to look at me.

As soon as Mr. Aizawa dismissed us to get our costumes on, my good friends came up to me.

"That pairing is most unfortunate." Tokoyami said, a hint of a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, sucks to be you." Sero said, patting my back sympathetically.

"Yeah, that blows. But you know what else blows?" Mina said, and at that moment she was the living embodiment of the lenny face.

"It just had to be him!" I groaned, covering my flushed face with my hands.

The first few matches were over, and now it was my turn.

Tokoyami had won against Ojiro - the poor guy never stood a chance. Sero had won against Koda. Midoriya won against Sato, but let's be honest, we were all expecting that. And, even though Jiro had won against Kaminari, they high-fived when their round was over, and they walked back to the rest of the class together. No hard feelings there, I guess.

Now it was my turn. My heart was racing, and not just because Todoroki was extremely strong.

Of course, I couldn't let that distract me. I needed to focus on winning this, for my own sake.

Todoroki stood across from me, in a similar fighting stance to mine. I gulped.

"Y/N L/N and Shoto Todoroki. Round 5: Begin!" The voice came over the speaker, and he wasted no time trying to get in the first hit.

I dodged his first blast of ice, but just barely. I had no choice other than to teleport away so I wouldn't get hit by his second attack.

I swayed, slightly disoriented due to the teleportation. He used my moment of weakness to his advantage and struck me in the back. I stumbled, but then whipped around. He was nowhere to be seen, so I turned around again,
figuring that he'd probably switched and went behind me again.
