Two to Five

The photo of you, me, your brother

His son and your mother

Sits on my living room

Coffee table

Whatever happened to those

Times we used to hang out?

I miss your company

And your voice

Now all I receive is a text

Or facebook tweet

Funny how even that one line

Can taste so sweet

You need a place to live

I only have so much to give

On these one liners I get by

I only have two to five to survive.

Two to five that is all

More if my Doc is wrong

Two to five is what I've been served

Two to five then I'll be gone.

Can we have a dance?

One last dance to please me

I want to hold you close

So I can feel less lonely

Now I can barely breathe

Due to all of my smoking days

So I whisper that your beautiful smile

I will remember always.

Two to five is not much time

But I will love you always.
