rounded glasses and freckles
decorate his face.
his green eyes always sparkle,
looking past what's
plain to everyone else
and into the places
he'd rather be.
avoided like the plague,
he finds company
in his own mind,
where only violet
dares to enter.
spinning his own world
in the words of his journal
he keeps with him
he saves his tales
so he always has a
new one to tell her.
every day he writes in his journal,
and everyday he makes his wishes,
on lady bugs & stray eyelashes,
dandelions & shooting stars,
11:11 & lucky coins,
wishing wells & birthday candles,
he wishes and wishes
but he'd never tell even violet what of.
xander's known for
his inability to tell the truth
but if they would just listen
maybe they would hear
the honesty in his voice.
violet's the only one
who listens to him.
violet's the only one who
knows the truth
about the boy who lies.

a secondary character
