Authors Note: Ramadan Mubarak everyone! I pray that everyone has a blessed Ramadan inshallah. The stories fetured in this book are translated from the qur'an to the best of my ability, please let me know if I made any mistakes.

The story of the Creation of Adam and Hawwa (Eve)  (may allah bless them both) 

"Verily, I am going to place mankind generations after generations on earth.’  They said: ‘Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You.’  God said: ‘I know that which you do not know." (Surah al Baqarah 2:30) 

Allah say's to the angles in this ayah that he will create humans or people to populate the earth. With this ayah the story of Adam the first man and human being (may allah bless him) begins. 

Allah created adam from a handful of soil that contained portions from all the diffrent varieties of soil. The soil was red, white, brown and black, it was soft and hard, it came from mountains, infertaile lands, lands that where lush with plants and all other diffrent types of lands. The decendants of Adam (may allah bless him) where to be as diverse as the diffrent types of soil used to create Adam (may allah bless him) with diffrent attributes and apperances.

 “And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: ‘I am going to create a human (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.  So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him.”  (Surah Sad 38: 71-72)

*Clay is made when water is mixed with soil and left to dry  it becomes sticky mud, if it is left to sit for more time it becomes black smooth clay.

So Allah takes this soil and makes clay then he shapes Adam (may allah bless him) from it. After letting the clay dry Allah breathes into it giving Adam (may allah bless him) a soul. Allah created Adam and gave him life, so know that Adam is alive Allah gives him the need for knowledge and teaches him language, speech and the names of all things. Then allah asks the angels to tell him the names of all things but they do not know, so he tells Adam to inform them of their names.

And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if you are truthful.They said: "Glorified are you, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is you, the all knower, the all wise." He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed." (Surah Al Baqarah 2: 31-32)

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

Allah has taught Adam everything so he brings the angels before him and tells them to bow to Adam. And they all bowed except for Iblees (shaytan).

*In some religions Iblees is protrayed as an angel who became the devil after he disobayed god by not bowing to Adam; This is not true of Islam, Iblees was a devil from the very begining. (More on this later) 

 Some time later Hawwa (Eve) was created from Adams (may allah bless him) shortest rib while he was sleeping.

*All woman are decended from the first woman Hawwa (Eve).  

And God said: "O Mankind!  Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from Him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women." (Surah An Nisa 4:1)

After the creation of Hawwa (Eve) Allah let Adam and Hawwa dwell in Jannah (Paradise) telling them that all within it was theirs to enjoy except for one certain tree. 

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers." (Surah al Baqarah 2:35)

So Adam and Hawwa (Eve) dewelt in Jannah (paradise) for sometime until, one day Iblees came to them both and whispered into there ears whispering evil thoughts and desires. He did not out right tell them to go eat from the tree.

  “...Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save that you should become Angels or become of the immortals.” (Surah Al A'raf 7:20)

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time." (Surah al Baqarah 2:36)

Because Adam and Hawwa ate from the tree going against their promise Allah punished them by sending them to live on earth. 

“Then they both ate of that tree, and so their private parts appeared to them, and they began to stick on themselves the leaves from Paradise for their covering.  Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray.  Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness and gave him guidance.” (20:121-122)

“Get you down (upon the earth), all of you together, from Paradise, some of you are an enemy to some others.  Then, if there comes to you guidance from Me, whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress and misery.” (20:123)

However Allah forgave both Adam and Hawwa (Eve) because they remembered there sin and asked for forgivness. And Allah is the all merciful and all forgiving.

And that is how Adam was created and how mankind came to live on earth.
