Training Room, Morning
TRAINING JORDAN WAS TOP ON GRACE'S LIST THAT MOMENT. While the Lightwoods and Lydia left to Jade Wolf to see the body and talk to Luke she stayed back and trained Jordan "Higher!" she ordered "If you want your hits to be perfect try to hold the weapon higher it will be easier to handle it," she said and he nodded smiling when she winked at him as he continued to try and attack her "Enough for today you guys," a voice said and she turned to see Chris standing there.
"Okay then, enough, you heard your brother" Grace kissed his head and high fived him and then he did the same with his brother before walking away "Wanna spar?" he nodded to hers and his swords. Grace shrugged and smirked throwing her weapon "No weapons" she laughed and he smirked.
He punched and she blocked, she punched and he blocked "I know you like that Lightwood boy," he said. Grace tried to kick him but he caught her leg and wiggled his eyebrows "You're hallucinating" she replied and pulled him down raising her other leg which made them both fall. She grabbed his hand twisted it behind his back and stepped on the other with her leg.
He groaned and laughed with pain "Okay you win" he said and she got of him offering a hand "Always do!" she said.
Later
GRACE FELT SLIGHTLY WARM AS SHE WAITED. Izzy gave Grace a file with the results of the necropsy and tried to find Alec. She found him punching a bag and went close to him "Alec!" she spoke and he stopped turning to her and walking forward to grab a jacket to put on. He looked at her and she cleared her throat licking her lips. She raised her hand which held the papers.
"I've got the finding" she told him and he took them from her looking at them "Why are you giving me this? It should go to the head of the institute," he said panting and placing the file to the side. "And it is," she said and Alec scoffed "I'm not head of the institute nor I will ever be" Alec shook his head "Grace it's like... It's like my whole life was a lie. And everything I have ever known is-"
"Not what you thought" Grace completed for him looking at him with a soft look "I've done everything for my parents... for the Clave... I've done everything that they've asked," he said with a frustrated look and she placed a hand on his shoulder "Maybe you should start living for yourself... Do what's in your heart for once" she said.
"I think you're right," Alec said and Grace smiled at him warmly in response.
