Infirmary
"MAGNUS, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN HERE ME" Chris began and then sighed "This is my fault," he said and Grace shook her head, hand landing on his shoulder "I was selfish" he spoke looking at Magnus "When you first lost your powers and you said you were okay with it, I didn't think twice. I guess I was so happy that maybe... we could grow old together" Chris said his eyes filled with tears "I guess I just didn't realize deep down, how much you were suffering," he said and a tear rolled down Grace's face "Magnus, I love you," he said and leaned down to take Magnus' hand in his "I love you more than anyone in the world and I'm so sorry"
The door opened and Chris composed himself as Alec and Catarina entered "May we come in?" she asked and everyone wiped their eyes as Chris replied "Yeah" he said and stood up. Alec nodded outside to follow him and Grace nodded "Chris..." she whispered and he turned to her. She kissed his cheek and smiled softly at him before following Alec outside the room.
"How are you?" Alec asked the moment they left the infirmary. She sighed and looked down "Like shit" she croaked out and laughed dryly. Alec sighed and took her into his arms. He rocked them back and forth rubbing her back and she closed her eyes sighing "It's going to be okay" he said and kissed her head, Grace nodding in his chest and wrapping her arms around him tightly.
Outside Infirmary, Later
"HEY, FRAY, HE'S GONNA BE OKAY" Simon tried to calm the redhead but she just sighed in response "First Luke goes to prison and now this" she sighed again "Why is everything falling apart?" she asked "Hey" started Simon softly "Hey. Hey Fray" he spoke softly standing behind her and she snapped around to face him "What, Simon?" she snapped making Grace snap up and place a hand on her shoulder to calm her down but she pushed Grace away "What, are you gonna make some joke to try to get me to feel better?" she yelled and then her face started to soften.
"Clary" both Jace and Grace spoke making her turn in their direction "I can't live like this" she spoke defeated looking at Jace "Jace, we have to do it," she said and Grace frowned "Do what?" Izzy asked, "Did you not go to the Brothers?" Grace asked, "Clary what's going on?" Simon asked.
Control Room, Soon Afterwards
"I SPOKE TO CATARINA," Jace said as he approached and took his place around the table, Alec's hand finding Grace's waist "She won't summon Lilith, too dangerous," he said leaning towards them "Well can't we find another warlock?" Simon asked and Izzy shook her head "There's no one else we trust"
"What about me? What if I use my rune ability to summon Lilith?" she asked "The runes were designed to give us the power to fight demons, not summon them" Grace spoke this time defeated. Clary came up to them at the table "Look, I know this is a long shot but if I can create a rune that can bring back the dead isn't this worth trying?" she asked and Grace sighed "What other choice do I have?" Clary asked "Okay," said Jace looking up "Let's say we manage to summon Lilith. What's to stop her from escaping? Or attacking us?" he asked and Izzy shook her head.
