SCHOOL IN SUMMER

Summer is the most exciting season of the year
Been waiting for ages and it's finally here
Can't wait to grab some drinks to freshen up
The heat on and I badly need to get out.

Got my backpack ready for some snacks
Sunblock on my skin to protect me from burning
Who would have thought school is best in summer?
I know I'm smiling like an idiot 'cause I'll be seeing him sooner than later.

Our story starts every summer in class
It's the only time I can see, talk, laugh, and hold his hands
We don't listen to the lesson but cope up with each others lives
We don't jot down notes but write letters of love.

And now, he look more dashing than ever
That look that always make me shiver
That smile so sweet I want to keep forever
His lovely voice transforming me into a giddy teenager.

We go to different universities from far places
I came from the south and he came from the east
We met in the middle once
And now it's a promise of time that lasts.

How can I ever stop this thing I'm feeling?
How can I ever say no to the reason why I'm smiling?
Inside my head it's just my fantasy from the very beginning
But inside my heart I know that we share the thought that is never ending.

Yesterday we skipped class and went on our very first date
We both felt bad for breaking the rule for the first time
We're top students in our universities and now we are doing this
I wonder how our teachers would react if they knew we were being naughty.

But you said it doesn't matter as long as you are with me
That moment I felt the butterflies they're talking about
And I stood there telling you that this is the best bad thing
The best bad thing I am proud I did.

School in Summer is about to end
Coming back to the usual is not easy
It means letting go and moving on again
Especially because you become a huge part of me I can't forget.

Hope to see you soon my Summer Love
You whispered as you bid goodbye
Tears shed our face while looking at each others' eyes
Wish I can turn back time to bring memories back to life.

Summer is the most painful season of the year for us
Waited for ages and it ended in a blink of an eye
Can't wait to see you soon enough as promised
The feeling when we parted is what's left in my heart.
