Hat stall

Once they have arrived in Hogwarts, the lot has already found their way inside the castle. The three new professors strides confidently in the Great Hall and sat beside each other in the High Table. Students soon entered the Great Hall, sitting in their respective tables. Neville Longbottom was already leading the first year students in front of the sorting hat. Mavis caught Perseus' eyes and nodded at him reassuringly. Perseus smiled gaining a little confidence while looking at his parents. He nudged Phoebe who also looked at their parents and smiled confidently at them

The sorting hat had finished his traditional performance which he would sing a song before Longbottom would do the sorting. Everyone was quiet once the sorting had finished its song and they all engaged into a hushed conversation while watching the first years to be sorted.

"Perseus Malfoy." Neville called out. Mavis and Draco saw Perseus took a deep breath before he walked confidently in front. Mavis and Draco along with his siblings were looking at him, interested in what house he was to be placed on.

"Ravenclaw!" The sorting hat yelled. Mavis and Draco looked at each other in disbelief while they clapped their hands proud that they had a Ravenclaw in their family. Louis and Scorpius whistled along with the Ravenclaws congratulating their little brother

"Phoebe Malfoy!" Neville called out. Phoebe smiled at Neville before she sat at the stool. Everyone was waiting for the sorting hat's decision but it was almost five minutes and the sorting hat has still haven't decided yet

"Good Merlin, we are having a hat stall!" McGonagall said, loud enough for the other Professors to hear

"What? Is it that hard to sort Phoebe?" Harry asked Mavis who was seated beside her

"She's quite everything." Mavis answers

"What would be your reaction if she gets to be in—"

"Ravenclaw!" The hat finally shouted. The Ravenclaws clapped once again welcoming Phoebe. Perseus hugged his sister congratulating her. Scorpius and Louis soon congratulated her too.

"We've got two Slytherins, two Ravenclaws, and one Hufflepuff in our family. Quite interesting." Draco said smiling at his twins who were amazed in what house they were in.

"I was hoping we have all our children in the four houses." Mavis mused

"Merlin forbids a Malfoy from being a Gryffindor!" Potter exclaimed "It's like a written rule!"

"Oh yeah? No one even thought a Malfoy would be in Hufflepuff you great big tosser. But we have Chloe!" Draco sneered at Harry who shrunk back at his seat

"That shocked the wizarding world didn't it? It left a tremendous aftermath. But she's doing great on her own." Mavis countered

McGonagall rises into her seat and gathered everyone's attention. She began her welcoming speech and set out her few rules and regulations to the students. After her speech, she warmly introduced the new professors in Hogwarts and their respective posts. Some were in awe and some were weary since Draco was one of the new Professor. It made him slightly nervous but when Mavis held his hand. He knew it was going to be alright.

"Love, I know you'll do great. Trust me, we all know our children got their amazing potion making talents because of you."  Mavis whispered in his ear squeezing his hand. "Now, don't even try to protest. Eat your food and we'll discuss this later." Draco smiled as they both started to eat.

After dinner, the prefects guided the first years of their house to their Common Rooms. It was a pleasant surprise to see Albus and Scorpius well behaved and followed the orders of the prefects. While McGonagall assisted the new Professors.
