Chapter 23

I woke up to find myself in my bedroom. Slowly, the memories of what happened came back to me. The oxygen mask was on my face. I saw that Landon, Ariana and Lilly were sat at the edge of the bed. They looked worried. I took off the mask and put it on the side.

"Are you okay, Alexa?" Landon asked.

I nodded.

"You said you were poorly so I thought you died," Ariana whispered.

"I'm fine," I said.

I got off the bed and we headed downstairs. We sat on the sofa and I put a movie on. It was Big Hero 6. I loved this movie but it's sad when Tadashi dies. Lilly headed to the kitchen and minutes later she came back with a bowl of popcorn.

I held the plate of popcorn as I was in the middle and we all ate the popcorn whilst watching the film. Towards the end of the movie, I felt Ariana's head move slowly on my lap. I looked to see that she had fallen asleep.

I slowly got up and put her head down onto the sofa. I picked her up and took her upstairs. Landon shortly followed. I went into my bedroom and Landon moved the blankets aside and I placed Ariana on the bed. I took off her shoes and put them on the side before Landon tucked her in.

"I'm starving! Do you want to grab something to eat?" He asked.

"I'm hungry too, I've got pasta downstairs if you want some," I offered him.

"Can we order a takeout instead?" He asked.

"Go on, what are you getting?" I asked him.

"Pizza obviously ," he said.

"I'll order it now," I said.

I rang the pizza place and ordered a 12" pizza. The man who picked the phone up asked what toppings I wanted on the pizza. I told him to wait a second and looked at Landon.

"What toppings on the pizza?" I asked him.

"Pepperoni and pineapple," he said.

I scowled my face when he mention pineapple. I hated pineapple on pizza.

"Can I have pepperoni on the pizza and can I have a portion of chips please," I told the man.

The man said it'd come within the hour before I put the phone down.

"Why didn't you get pineapple on it?" Landon groaned.

"Eww pineapple and pizza don't mix," I said.

Landon rolled his eyes. We sat in the living and he filled me in on what happened today in school whilst waiting for the pizza. I went to the kitchen and grabbed two cans of coke and I put them on the living room table. The doorbell rang and Landon got the pizza and chips and placed them on the table.

I grabbed the remote and put on a random horror film on Netflix. We ate our food whilst watching the movie. When the food was finished, I binned the rubbish and we continued watching the movie. I found myself feeling extremely tired so I was going to tell Landon that I was heading to bed but I realised he was asleep.

His head was leaning on the couch. I stood up and picked up his legs and put them on the couch so he was in a more comfortable position. I grabbed a blanket and put it over him.

I checked the time and it was 11PM. I couldn't go to bed because Ariana was in my bed so I grabbed a blanket and decided to sleep on the other couch. I fell asleep minutes later.
