Only a few days had passed since Kaneki began training Himika for the finals, they worked together on jutsus and on controlling their kagune better. Himika laid sprawled out on the grass, slightly out of breath from all the training Kaneki had been putting her through. Himika shut her eyes to block out the light of the sun, but she could still see the light shining through her eyelids. Suddenly the sun was blocked out and Himika opened her eyes to see what was blocking the sun's rays, but of course only one eye was visible, the other being covered by her eyepatch. Kaneki stood above her, looming over her with his arms crossed in an annoyed fashion.

"Get up Himika." Kaneki said.

"I'm tired...." Himika huffed.

"Too bad, we need to improve your stamina. Another downside to being a 'ghoul' is that we are fast, but our stamina runs low really quickly." Kaneki said, offering a hand to Himika.

"Fine..." Himika sighed, taking his hand and hoisting herself up.

Kaneki walked to opposite end of the training field, bringing out his kagune and getting into a fighting stance, having his left leg slightly further in front than his right leg. Himika did the same, bringing out her own kagune and getting into a fighting stance.

"I noticed that you fight like your kagune is a weapon that you wield, it's not a bad way of using it, but it isn't all that effective either." Kaneki noted, speaking out loud.

"How do you propose I use it then?" Himika asked, wondering what was ineffective about her method.

"Try using your kagune like a part of your body, an extension of your back. Control the muscles in your back to use it, more specifically control the muscles in your kagune." Kaneki said.

Himika nodded to show she understood, without another word Kaneki charged at her, using a combination of punches, kicks and kagune slashes to attack. Himika dodged most attacks and used her kagune to swat him away, using the tip Kaneki gave her. Slowly, Himika adjusted to using her kagune and dodging attacks began getting easier and easier.

Kaneki ran in for an attack, but at the last second he jumped above her, not giving her enough time to redirect her kagune. Kaneki pinned her using his kagune and won, Himika was getting better, but still not good enough to beat Kaneki.

"That was much better than before." Kaneki praised, although it didn't sound like praise with the stoic expression he wore.

"Arigato." Himika replied, dusting herself off and getting up.

Kaneki was getting ready to prepare for another match, but an orange blob came out of nowhere and started running at Himika. Himika stumbled back at his sudden appearance, but kept her calm face.

"How come you're here Naruto?" Himika asked.

"Imetthisoldpervyguywho'sasageandhetaughtmehowtowalkonwaterandit'sreallycoolIwanttoshowyourightnow!!" Naruto yelled, talking to fast to even form proper words and sentences.

"What's going on?" Kaneki interrupted from behind Naruto.

Naruto let a little yelp out when he heard the voice behind him and turned to see Kaneki, with his usual blank stare and cold glare. Naruto's knees began to shake, scared out of his mind. The sun was behind Kaneki, making his shadow loom way over Naruto, his red kagune still out and waving slowly behind him in an annoyed way.
