My grandmas house wasn't far from my house.
I got there and ran into the house.
"Grandma, hello?" I said.
"Audrey? Is that you dear?" I heard her say, she came out from the hallway.
"Why aren't you home!?" She said coming over to me and grabbing my cheeks.
"My parents, they-they, they hurt me." I said.
"What do you mean?" Her face turned pale.
"I can't explain right now, but I just can't be there." I said scarcely.
"You're welcome to stay here." She said, cracking a smile.
"Thank you." I nodded.
"No problem, I was just going to make breakfeast, would you like some waffles?"
"Yes, please." I said, as I walked into the dining room.
I smiled.
My grandma was always there for me.
She was never sad.
*20 minutes later...*
"BING"
"Done!" She said.
I was at the dinner table.
She came out holding a plate of waffles and and eggs.
"Ouch. My arm." I said looking at my rug burned arm.
"What did you do?" Grandmother said.
I ate a waffle and scooped some eggs onto a plate, it was delicious.
"Lizzie pushed me over on the rug..and my dad pulled my arms and pushed me ton the ground.."
A tear trickled down my face.
