"Oh, man" I heard an eerily familiar voice whine next to me.

I was awake, but I couldn't find it in myself to open my eyes, so I just eavesdropped on what was going on next to me.

"Naruto..." another voice threateningly said in a low growl, but was immediately cut off by Naruto.

"No, Gaara" Naruto's voice was slipping into hysteria. "It's the second time this month this happens! I believe it's bound to take its toll on her!"

By now, I opened up my eyes and propped myself on my elbows, but I went unnoticed. Instead, Naruto and Gaara were sat up on either sides of my mattress, ready to pummel each other into the ground.

"Her body was immensely strained, you knucklehead! She needs all the rest she can get!" the redhead growled at the blond.

Naruto puffed. "A strain that you and Tsunade-baa-chan decided to put her through!" he yelled.

I smirked. "Actually, Nara-sama decided this was the best plan" I said and drew their attention.

Naruto squeaked and jumped on the floor next to me to give me a bone-crushing hug. Gaara followed suit and hugged me gently when Naruto let go of me.

"How long was I out?" I asked when they got hugging out of their systems.

"About three days" Gaara responded. "Which is a long ass time for someone with recuperative powers such as yourself"

I nodded. "What's next?" I finally asked.

"We're being taken to the Waterfall of Truth" Naruto replied. "To gain complete control over our beasts"

"See, that's the part I don't get" I tilted my head. "Kuronuma isn't set on getting out of me and destroying anything. He doesn't need to be locked away while I take away his chakra. He's giving it to me voluntarily" I explained.

Gaara grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze. "I know, Naoto, but this will help both you and Kuronuma to reach the full potential of your abilities"

"This is it" the Eight-Tails' host told us, stopping in front of a giant waterfall, accompanied by some unnecessary hand motions. "Just go and sit on that island thingy and you'll have to figure out everything after that" he pushed up his glasses and twirled, then snapped his fingers and dramatically dragged himself away.

He was a buff man in his thirties, with slicked back white hair and sunglasses, carrying around eight short blades. His name was Killer Bee and he was the adoptive brother of the Raikage. And he had an annoying habit of rhyming every sentence he spoke, ending it very often with 'yo, bakaerou', which started to rub off on my brother.

Yamato was right behind us, ready to contain Kurama if it was the case, and Kakashi was standing by, reading his usual adult book. The third jonin that was with us, a guy in a green jumpsuit name Gai, was prancing around kicking the air, indifferent to what was about to go on out there. I grabbed Naruto's hand and gave it a squeeze. He smiled at me reassuringly and we stepped on the water and towards the small island that stood not far from the fall.

"Remember when the village was under siege and you passed out?" the blond asked as we sat down on the grass.

I chuckled and rubbed the back of my head. "How could I forget? What about it?" I wondered.

"While I was fighting Pein, the beast wanted to break out and I almost let it, but you'll never guess who stepped in and stopped me" he rambled.

I shrugged my shoulders. "No, I don't. Are you going to tell me already?" I laughed.
