Chapter Twenty Seven

"Y/n?" You heard a soft voice whisper as a hand touched your shoulder, you opened your eyes and saw Shay standing in front of you. "You fell asleep, your mam asked me to wake you up because you're going for dinner with Bryshere and Taraji and need to get ready" you nodded and both went upstairs.

"I miss talking to you" she said quietly as she sat at your window,

"I've missed talking to you too" You say smiling. "I'm sorry I wasn't here last time" she said as she put her head down, "Hey don't apologise, you had a reason, how is your dad anyway?" You ask as you start to get ready. "He's great, better than ever" she smiled as she stood behind you, fixing your hair.

You finished getting ready and got in your car and drove to Keith's where Bryshere was. You walked inside and spot Bry and Keith's friends sitting around the table watching something on a phone, you listened and recognised it immediately, they were watching one of your performances.

"Hey girls" you laugh as you enter the room. "Heyyyyyy!" They all shout, "y/n this awesome!" Woody said pointing at the phone. "Wow hold on, did Woody just compliment me?" You laugh, He rolled his eyes and ruffled your hair. "Ayy thas my best friend, you ready to go?" Bryshere asked as he wrapped his arms around you. "Yep! Let's go" you answer, "goodbye ladies" you wave, they smile and say goodbye.

You drove to the restaurant where you met Taraji, you said hello and caught up.
"So when you want Frankie and I to come to LA?" Bryshere asked, "pause!" Taraji said waving her hands

"Bryshere y/n just got back today, her grandfather is sick and her brother is getting married, she doesn't have time to think about you coming out there and bothering her" she said smiling at you. "But ma-" "no Bryshere" she cut him off, you laughed to yourself.

After the dinner you went home and straight to bed, Brandon was already there and the others had gone to bed too. "How was dinner?" He asked as you snuggled into his chest in the bed, "delicious, but I'm exhausted" You admit. "You want me to come with you tomorrow or should I stay back and entertain the others?" He giggled, "no I want you to come, you still need his approval" you whisper, your eyes closed as he traced circles on the smile of your back. he stopped, "his approval?" He asked. You opened your eyes and looked in his, "well yeah, I don't talk to my dad so you need to have the approval of the other men in my life" you smiled. "Great, as if Seán and Bryshere weren't scary enough!" He started to sound nervous. "Relax Brandon, he's the nicest man you'll ever meet, you'll love him and he'll love you" you say, he smiles.
You both drift off to sleep wrapped in each others arms.

A/n, Yooooo, hey guys so I know this chapter is super short but I really wanted to have something out today, I'm going to be swamped with studying for the next few weeks but I'll try to write as well, I have exams starting in three weeks and they'll continue for two weeks. These exams are quite important so I probably won't upload during them, thank you once again for the constant support on this book, I have a lot of ideas for the next few chapters and am really excited to write them!
