I looked at Smitty after telling the group chat that he was 'Coolio', eugh that was so cringy. I could tell Smitty was happy, I wanted to get to know him better he seemed like a cool guy with no problems to stand in his way. "Hey Smitty?" I asked him, I was going to see if we could just walk around campus talking about eachother. "Yeah John?" "Would you possibly want to go walk around campus or something?" He gave me a look, a confused but intrigued look. "To just get to know each other." I added on, Smitty then nodded in my direction. "Rad!" I said joyfully, I went into my room and quickly put on the first hoodie I saw in my small dresser.

I walked back into the 'Living room' aka the small room that connected both Smitty and I's rooms. I was ready to go and walk, though when I looked at Smitty I could see he was a bit nervous. "Are you ready to go?" I quietly asked, Smitty had nodded. He had changed into a white sweater which complimented his dyed hair, I loved how it matched his eyes. I was sure I was going to be best friends with him easily. We both walked outside of our dorm to see that it was quite dark and mostly only street lights were lit. I started talking to Smitty, just talking about normal things like family, friends, etc.

It was okay until I asked one question, "Are you dating someone?" I don't know why I asked this it just seemed like it was a normal question to ask someone. "Never dated anyone in my whole life, I'm scared to." Smitty responded, "Why?" "I don't know, I've had multiple crushes but I was asked scared to ask them out." "Why were you scared?" Smitty stopped and I stopped with him, I saw that he took a deep breath. "I'm scared of what would happen, I don't know if they would reject me or just date an ugly motherfucker. What if they would cheat on me, what if they would just stop loving me? What if they would move on because of how ugly I am? What if they would leave me because I'm always sad and scared of so many things? There is so many 'what ifs' to even possibly happen. I'm sorry for telling you this, I'm wasting our talking time." Smitty said, I listened to every last word he said and frowned. I felt sad for him.

"Your not ugly." I said and Smitty looked at me, I then stared directly at his face. I saw his freckles, and how beautiful his eyes were. "But-" "Let me cut you off there Smitty, I there are so many what ifs but you need to think if the positive things happened instead of the negative things." As soon as I finished that sentence Smitty said in an almost yell. "I can't John!" I was shocked to see Smitty's change in mood, I felt bad for him, this was my second day meeting him and I got to know that he can't think positively. I could see that Smitty was tearing up, I had a feeling that he didn't like arguing or even speaking in a loud tone.

"I'm sorr-" I cut off Smitty's tone with a hug. I hugged him, I hugged him tighter. He hugged me back, I could hear him sniffling. "I'm sorry for asking that question Smitty." "Call me Lukas, John." He's letting me call him by his real name? Did I just get to know someone in two days? "Okay Lukas." I smiled and told him. "Can we go back to the dorm, we can go talk back in there. Its too cold out here."

"Okay." I responded to him and broke the hug, we both then started walking back towards the dorms. I could see that Lukas was still sad, I felt that me and him were going to be best friends. Or even more than that? Nah John he's much better than you'll ever be. Once we made it to our dorm we both just decided to continue to talk until we got spammed with messages from the group chat.

Smitty: Whats happening?

Mini: I SAW YOU TWO HUG HOLY SHIT. I WAS JUST GOING GET SOME AIR AND I SAW YOU TWO HUG.

"Finally he shuts up." I said turning off my phone. "They better not ship us." Lukas laughed. I loved his laugh as I heard it. It was so joyful  I stared into his eyes, I saw his freckles and his beauty. Why did he think he was ugly? But of course I laughed with him, we spent the night talking until it was 1 AM, then we both had to go to bed. Night, WhiteSweater.
