Maya's POV
On the way back, here on the bus from the ski lodge, I realised what I did. I am sitting in the back seat with no one next to me...
Flashes coming in my mind
"Riley likes you Lucas!" Farkle says, not even caring what I feel....I inhaled deeply
"What are we Riley?" Lucas asked as if he is dead to the fact that I like him
"Go get Riley cowboy" and that was me sacrificing again and again for my best friend's happiness

I realised tears were rolling down my eyes, nobody was looking at me, why would they? Me...broken when they had Riley happy and goofey to look at. I wiped my tears.
I clenched my teeth, and then sighed. Slowly I scooted over to the window and looked out, trees fading behind as the bus moved.
"Maya?" A happy voice said, I looked up to see Riley
"Yeah honey?" I said putting on a fake smile
"Peaches! We'll stop at the Petrol pump, will you use the washroom!"
"Um... I should!" I said frantically nodding my head
"Okay, wanna join me and Lucas for a card game?" Riley asked her goofey smile appearing in her face again
"Fine." I muttered
I sat on the opposite seat to beloved rucas.
"Here maya." Lucas said pushing me the cards, our hands brushed and spark flew in my head. Nowadays even his slightest touch is a miracle. And those were the days when Farkle had nothing to Riley and he hadn't blurted about her feelings...
"Thanks Lucas." I mumbled
"What did I hear?" Lucas said grinning at me
"What?" I muttered
"You said 'Thank You' to me." He laughed
I nodded and threw the first card, ignoring him.
He frowned deeply but we continued playing, Riley kissing Lucas on the cheek every time he did a good move. Me flinching at it every time, I had had enough, I suddenly got up and pushed my self next to josh who was two seats behind.
"Maya?" Lucas asked from his seat turning his head
"Go on playing." I muttered loud enough
"Okay...." he stared at me gazing in my eyes, my heart skipped a few beats as I gazed into his soft green eyes as if those ten seconds were eternity and the wilderness calm nature was swirling along with my ocean furious stormy eyes.
I inhaled a breaths as he turned around frowning.
"Maya...what is it?" Josh asked
"Nothing, could we just ch—!" I said choking back my new tears, ND the bus lurched to a hault, I got up quickly and walked out of the door, before anyone could say anything
I walked in the bathroom, then inside a stall. Tears now flowing everywhere, I am crying for a boy? Why?
"Aaaaaaaah!" I yelled
"Maya?" A want voice from Lucas whispered from outside the stall. And there it goes.
