Here we arrive at the last official subjunctive tense used in modern Spanish: the subjunctive past perfect. As usual, we have our perfect tense formula of haber + past participle, and this time it's the imperfect subjunctive form of haber. So let's see what that's like. I will offer both conjugation tables (if you remember from subjunctive past, there are two ways to conjugate), but I advise using the first as it is more widespread.

Table #1:

Yo: hubiera

Tú: hubieras

Él, ella, ud: hubiera

Nosotros: hubiéramos

Vosotros: hubierais

Ellos/ellas, uds: hubieran

Table #2:

Yo: hubiese

Tú: hubieses

Él, ella, ud: hubiese

Nosotros: hubiésemos

Vosotros: hubieseis

Ellos/ellas, uds: hubiesen

Examples (used with the first conjugation table, but you can let me know in the comments if you want some examples with the other):

Pensaba que tú hubieras comido ayer. |I thought that you had eaten yesterday.

No me gustaba que él hubiera mentido a mí. |I did not like when he had lied to me.

Maravillo que ellos hubieran alcanzado la montaña antes de la relámpago comenzó. |I wonder if they had reached the mountain before the lightening started.

Tú maravillas que hubiéremos ido a la tienda ayer o no. |You wonder whether we had gone to the store or not.
