Chapter - 7: Compromise

(I guess I don't really have a good excuse for why I haven't been posting or updating because...I guess it's just the fact that I don't enjoy writting like I used to. I used to write a lot of fanfictions before I made this account and wrote this story. Due to that I have lost some interest in writting. I just want to let you guys know I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I usually only write stories when I'm in the mood to. I'm not gonna stop writhing I just need to take a break so I don't lose full interest. Anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter!)

Off in the distance about 32 miles away from Sonic and Tails position, Knuckles began to stir awake after last nights events. A sudden breeze of cold air brushed against his face. He begins to lift himself up from the dry sand. He rubs his eyes furiously trying to get the residue from the sand out of his socket. As he peeks he notices the trees leaves blowing so swiftly with the ocean water washing up and sinking on the shore.

"W-where am...I? Sonic? Tails?" Knuckles began to look around noticing nothing but a plain beach.

"SONIC...TAILS...WHERE ARE YOU?" Knuckles began to yell their names.

Knuckles then notices smoke in the air off in the distance. Last night's events begins to fill his head causing him to worry about his friends.

"The crash...what if they're hurt? What if eggman caught them? What if they got killed?" More and more thoughts fills his mind.

Knuckles begins to Sprint towards the smoke As fast as he can. Jumping, sliding, climbing through every obstacle that's in his way.

Back at the crash sight. Sonic begins to wake up noticing he wasn't in the same place he passed out at, he also notices that Tails wasn't next to him. He quickly darts his head around to see if Tails was near by...nothing. He tries to get up but feels a sharp pain in his back.

"Aaaggghh!" Sonic grunts As he grasps his back with his hand from the pain.

He then notices eggman walking up to him with a grin on his face.

"What are you doing here? Where is TAILS? My god if you hurt him, I'm go*..." Sonics foot then gets brushed by a robot that was behind eggman.

"Aaaggghh...you...you son of..." Sonic groans in pain as he lifts his crushed foot.

"Oh...is sonic crying? Hm...you're pathetic." Eggman taunts sonic.

"W-here is TAILS?!" Sonic begins to yell in anger.

"Ah...Tails...let's just say I have already delt with him." Eggman laughs while lifting up a tail.

"No...no...you sphyco! You sick being!" Sonic yells while realising it was one of Tails.

"Now...I'm gonna deal with you." Eggman laughs while pulling out a gun and putting to Sonics head.

"Goodbye Sonic." Eggman then pulls the trigger.

Sonic hears a loud bang and opens his eyes to nothing but pure brightness.

"Aahh!!!" Sonic jerks up with tears in his face.

Sonic looks around to see a bright sky and some smoke from the crash. Sonic could feel his heart beat heavily while he breathes rapidly.

"Sonic?"

Sonic then looks down to his left to see Tails lying next to him with a worried expression.

"Are you alright? Why are you crying?" Tails questioned.

"Oh my God you're okay!" Sonic almost yelled while grabbing Tails shoulders.

"Well of course I'm okay. Are you okay?" Tails asked once more while whipping the tears from Sonics eyes.
