Thor searched for Tony and the rest of the Guardians in every Planet. When he arrived to Titan, Thanos's home planet, he saw a distressed Tony. Tony didn't notice Thor's presence at all, he was too focused on the ashes beneath him with his eyes closed. Nebula let him grieve, she lost her sister too, so she knows Tony will need time.

"Stark?" Thor's voice boomed and snapped Tony out of the trance. Tony turned to him.

"Thor..?" Tony mumbled and his eyes watered. He hasn't seen his friend in years, and finding out he's alive made him relieved. Tony stood up. He felt like he was dreaming.
Thor saw the sadness and vulnerability in Tony. He saw it immediately. But he understood too. He understood because his little brother was murdered right in front of him. "What happened?" Thor gently asked and stepped toward Tony.
"I-I don't know." Tony stammers, still in shock and grief, "everyone was here," Tony paused, so he could calm down and not break apart,
"But then they turned into dust." Nebula finished for Tony, she came up from behind.
Peter's face flashed into Tony's head, the second before he disintegrated.
