After talking with Dale, I dropped off the guitar and decided to go take a dip in the lake with the waterfall I found Daryl in. As soon as I got there, the sky started to cloud up. I thought I would make use of the rain to have a shower. I striped myself of my clothes and stepped into the water. It was cold but soothed the sun burns and heat from the hot days. I washed and scrubbed my face, hair, body and nails. My body was tingling from how clean I felt, although I had to put my somewhat dirty clothes back on. As soon as I got dressed, the spitting rain turned into a down pour. I smiled to myself and started to sing "I Love A Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbitt. I felt like a kid again spinning in circles splashing in mud puddles. I heard laughing from behind me and turned to see a soaking wet Daryl laughing at my childish ways. I grabbed his arm and pulled him out where the trees couldn't protect him from the rain and shoved him into a mud puddle. All of a sudden I was in the mud with him. I splashed the muddy water mix at him, which he great fully returned. Our laughter filled the air as we splashed and dances in the rain. Daryl actually looked happy, for once. We fell into the shallow pool of water, laying down letting the mud slowly drip off. Daryl stood up and offered me a hand. He didn't let go of my hand, just held it close to his chest. 'Now or never..' I told myself. The next thing I knew I was kissing him. I felt his tongue drag lazily across my bottom lip. I parted my mouth slightly, our tongues rolling together in sync, my hands tangled in his soft sandy brown hair. He pulled away, much to my disappointment. He grabbed my hand again, "come on, let's go." He said, pulling on my hand slightly. We walked back to camp, Carol sending me a death glare for some strange reason. I said a quick goodbye to Daryl and went to get cleaned up and changed for dinnerAfter talking with Dale, I dropped off the guitar and decided to go take a dip in the lake with the waterfall I found Daryl in. I said a quick goodbye to Daryl and went to get cleaned up and changed for dinner. Patricia and Beth wanted to put another dinner together in the house for everyone, so I thought I would drop in and see if they needed any help. I knocked on the door and Hershel answered the door with a warm smile. I could see Rick, Lori and Carl sitting on the living room floor, Carl playing with some toys they had found earlier. "afternoon Hershel, Did y'all need any help with anything'?" I asked politely. "Oh no, it's quite alright, but Maggie wanted to see you, she's up in her room." Hershel replied. I nodded and went up to her room. "Knock knock," I said opening the door slowly. I saw Maggie sitting at her vanity looking at her reflection. "Hey," she replied sadly. "Mags, what's wrong?" "I just, everything with Glenn.. Your group treats him like walker bait! I can't loose him, not another person." she said, letting a tear roll down her cheek. "Hey now, Glenn's tough. I don't agree with how he's treated either, but you have to trust him.." I whispered. She still looked so sad. I didn't know how to cheer her up, I'm not really used to all the emotion. "Come on, lets get cleaned up for dinner then." She said, standing up leaving me sitting on the stool in front of the vanity. Maggie disappeared into her small closet, soon coming out with 2 dresses. They weren't fancy, but they were very pretty. "Let's get ready" she said with a goofy grin on her face. I shook my head but smiled anyway, making her jump up in down. She handed me a black dress with long lace see through sleeves. I was never into getting all dressed up. "This is probably my second time ever wearing a dress.." I said to her while slipping into it. We were the exact same size so it fit perfectly. "Wow, you look amazing!" She squealed. I turned and saw she was wearing a sleeveless plain red dress. "Wow Mags you look great!" I said. We both started laughing and giggling until we heard a faint knock on the door. Beth walked in and when she saw our dresses her face lit up. "You guys look so pretty!" she yelled. "Bethy, go get that blue dress from your closet that daddy gave you." Maggie said, and Beth practically raced there and came back with a plain royal blue t-shirt dress on. "You look adorable Beth." I said with a small smile. Maggie walked over to her dresser and pulled a small makeup bag from the dresser and motioned for me to sit down. I hesitantly obeyed, I hated all this girly dresses and makeup stuff but as long as it made Maggie and Beth happy I would play along. I called Beth over and French braided her hair for her while Maggie curled her hair with her brush and hairspray. "Your turn," Beth said as she got up sheepishly and brushed through my hair. She started humming and I noticed how pretty her voice probably was. "There, do you like it?" I looked in the mirror and saw that she had braided part of my hair around my head and let the rest down and curly. "Thank you Beth, I love it." I said with a small smile. Maggie then started doing our makeup, keeping it light and natural. Looking at each other, we smiled noticing how this is what it would be like if we weren't in the apocalypse. A little normal is what we needed. We started to head for the door. For some reason, I got those stupid butterflies again.
